I'm from U.S. East, and while it's far from dead, a high percent of players, are, for the most part, difficult or impossible to play with.
A lot of people who play BNET custom games are also habitual users of various hacks: maphack, multicommand, and drophack. The worst thing that happens a lot is people ragehacking--players who have a drophack liberally use it when they feel their "code" is violated or they are losing. What this really amounts to is forcing people to play in a way that's irrational and basically make losing moves.
It's very risky kicking these people from games, because most of them can spoof or have a blacklist, and seem to have nothing better to do than stalk people when they are upset.
This isn't everyone, but it's rarer and rarer that nobody cheats in a game, and some people even tolerate it sadly enough.
Now I do not find playing any game fun when a player can decide, for whatever reason, to remove another from the game. That doesn't sound like much of a game to me. More like a hostage situation if anything.
So is there anyone left in the community who plays custom games (not just HLS, TS, Helms Deep and Desert Strike...) and doesn't use any hacks? Would be nice to set up a group without any cheaters.
None.
