I need some ideas for foods to bring to work. The only requirements are that they can't be microwaved (I'm asking for fresh food, not "bring leftovers hurr durr") and that I could relatively easily make and transport those foods. Currently all I do is bring sandwiches but that's going to get boring unless I get some different fillings or new ideas. What do you like to bring for lunch, or is there anything you think I should try?
Win by luck, lose by skill.
Assorted fruit and veggies are surprisingly filling when you pack stuff like blueberries and broccoli. I also have fruit and nut bars in my desk for when I crash in the middle of the day.

Personally I eat bread and 1 piece of fruit every day.
What's important is that you vary the kind of bread:
... to list a few.
For the toppings get creative. Ham, cheese and sausages come in hundreds of variations.
Mix them with herbs curd, simply butter, paprika spread and vegetables like cucumbers, tomatoes, paprika or onions and you get something new each day.
On hot days I enjoy plain yoghurt with some additive: Applesauce, mashed banana or whichever fruit you like.
I eat salads and apples mostly. Also nuts.
None.
Lately I have about 90-100g of cashews, yoghurt and an apple that I slice in quaters and take the core out before work - I hate apple cores or eating apples 'normally'.
None.
You could always slaughter a lamb and bring it in. Share with your co-workers though, or they'll get jealous.
None.
Actually more like 50-70g of cashews.
None.
You should try looking up Japanese bento foods, they fit your criteria perfectly. You could even get a bento box to use.
You can prepare cold noodles. Boil them normally to cook, soak them in cold water, then have them with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, cold meats, etc.
That sounds really gross.
None.
prob cuz ur white or you haven't tried it, since cold noodles are the shit.
Also, don't "soak" them. It's more like bathe, to chill them without using the refrigerator (causes the noodles to stick together a lot). They're best had during the summer. I don't recommend usig very thin noodles - the kinds that are slightly thicker (2-3 mm or so?) or flat but have some width are really good.
Sesame sauce/jam and diced garlic for baller taste.
Can't recommend lettuce - the cucumbers and tomatoes will work cuz their slippery textures work with the noodles for the meal to be consistent. The meat is there to balance your nutrition, but whatve floats your boat can substitute.
I've never heard of soaking them in cold water after boiling them, but pasta salad is pretty good. Lanth I'm surprised you've never had it before.
Italian Pasta Salad - Pasta with sliced pepporoni, salami, olives, mozzarella
Ceasar Tortellini - Tortellini, Ceasar Dressing, Parmesan
Smoked Mozerella - Pasta with sundried tomatoes, smoked mozzarella, pine nuts. Tossed lightly in olive oil.
Personally, I find Greek pasta salad to be the best, by a significant margin.
Good greek salad won't have noodles in it.
Though while we're in the med mood Tabbouleh made right is to die for

Well he didn't call it pasta salad. Also I'm generally not a fan of cold wet food.
None.

Greek salad and Greek pasta salad are two different things. I can assure you that Greek pasta salad always includes pasta.
It looks like that.
But it's so delicious! Although a little expensive compared to most pasta salads, if you buy it pre-made.
Pasta salad is a term made up by the white upperclass bourgeois to suffocate and oppress immigrants! DOWN WITH THE SYSTEM.

From what it looks like it's greek salad with pasta added to it - exactly what you'd expect. I agree that

Greek salad is perfect the way it is and any additive can only change the whole experience for the worse, even if you rename it. (imho)
