Its true; there are no mafia in this game. All townies get a "feign death" ability.

I'm pretty sure we can't win this, but let's at least take Doodan down, who is definitely a mafia. Leon is probably the other one.

I vote Doodan.

So this is how it ends. At the other end of a dispassionate supervisor's outstretched hand, the papers thrust at him without a second thought. Symmetry gulped meekly. But there seemed to be no cause this time - he had not voted for himself - he had never voted in the morally ambiguous employee retention program to begin with! He looked around to see where the other three remaining employees. Did they all receive these papers? To buy himself time, he read the document closely despite his worst fears. He wasn't ready to leave the company; where would he go if he did not have this?

Do to the recent economic recession and the increasing price of materials and energy, Roy Heavy Industries regrets to tell their employees that wages will be cut to the state minimum wage level of $7.45/hr. We know that this comes as a shock in an already shocking time, but we would like to assure our employees that this is to assure the longevity of the company and to keep employee retention as high as possible. Employees are asked to sign the second page, understanding the cut to their wages. Employees that do not do so will be terminated.

At first he didn't believe what he was reading. It would be less, sure, but perhaps if he cut down on his bills - eat only twice a day, or perhaps shower only once a week - he could make ends meet. He blinked several times and re-read the pages several times, the supervisor that had handed it to him clearing his throat and checking his watch impatiently. Did this supervisor even know his name? His family? How long he had been with the company? He smirked despite himself.

So this had been their end goal from the start.

They always knew that there was no exit for us.

He signed the papers and handed to the supervisor. "Please, follow me," the supervisor said upon double checking the signature lines. He passed Doodan and they snaked down the hallways. His face was pale and his eyes watery. Had he decided not to sign the papers? The supervisor opened the door and let him in, pointing him to an empty seat before a row of four of his current and former coworkers: Devlin, Daddywhoo, Leon-037, and Observer12425. The supervisor shut the door behind them and locked it, making Symmetry jump.

"It has come to our attention that the cause of low employee retention is the lack of employee involvement in decision making. As such the company as saw a need to establish a union that will protect the employee's best interests," the supervisor said, reading from a piece of paper. Devlin watched him with a pleased expression. "The first step is to elect a union leader by popular vote. Does the employee body have any nominees?"

"I nominate Devlin!" Daddywhoo says to cheers from the other three.

"You're not even an employee here! You were fired!" Symmetry blurted out.

"Fired and then rehired," he responded with a shrug, "the company saw my value and practically begged for me to come back." The others smirked.

"I second Daddywhoo's nomination," Leon-037 said.

"Thirded," Observer12425 said.

"All in favor?" the supervisor asked. The four employees facing Symmetry rose their hand, looking at him expectantly.

"Symmetry, do you know why we kept you?" Devlin said with a stony face, talking slowly like he was talking to a child. Symmetry didn't dignify the question with a response. "Its because you were such a good role model...you kept your head down and your nose out of other people's business. People in our line of work look highly on that. But do you know what would look even better for the other employees - the new employees? If they knew that the former staff approved of the new system. And everyone loves a good role model, wouldn't you say? Good role models do their work on time cleanly and efficiently. They don't find themselves wandering along icy paths or using malfunctioning equipment. They aren't accident prone, and they surely don't get fired."

Symmetry hesitated for several minutes, weighing his options. He was trapped. He was sure he couldn't leave, even if he wanted to. The door was blocked and there was the mafia family staring him down from the other side. He rose his hand timidly.

"A unanimous vote! How splendid!" the supervisor said with feigned enthusiasm.

"Well done, Symmetry," Devlin said, "and welcome to the family."

END DAY 6

END KAME MAFIA

VICTORY: MAFIA WINS!

Night actions, roles, and information forth coming.

Feb 11 2013, 5:44 am Azrael Post #274

The fact Leon is Mafia is pretty surprising, since he extended the game by voting for Daddywhoo. If he'd switched his vote to Inferno right before the deadline, the game would have immediately ended with a Mafia victory a day earlier than it did.

Time for people to raise their hands if they're ready to host and want to go next.

I want to know why mafia didn't pull a double lynch because really who was going to stop you on the last day? :bleh:

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Had we gone for a double lynch and Doodan and Symmetry were active afterall, we would have lost. With both of our remaining players on one target it was impossible for us to lose. They made the smart call and doubled up on one person.
