Hey dudes. Good to see this place is alive again, n' I gots a present for you.
This is a map I'd been working on, and I'm finally getting back to finishing it up. I've gotten to v1.5 so far, but there are still a couple things to smooth over. Either way, welcome me to SEN. A couple of you might recognize me from Warboards.org and Starcraft.org. I know I at least recognize devilisk. Here ya go Edit; Fock, wrong section. Could you please move this into the Melee Mapping Section? This post was edited 3 times, last edit by Protogod: Sep 2 2007, 5:16 am. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Proto, if I happened to be at a school computer (which I am right now, in fact), I could not give you any advice because I can't see it. Does that mean that my opinions do not matter and are not needed/wanted?
Of course, I can always post when I get home, but there are some who may not have a computer at home or have problems with it. IP fixed uploads, so you can attach to the post now, adding both the map and pic. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Same could be said about just about any website at the moment ;P There really isn't a good environment for melee mappers right now, and there isn't going to be until people start actually playing these maps. It just isn't happening right now, all there is, is heaping amounts of theory craft (that's often flatly contradicted by the simplest of observable facts if you still play this game). I think a successful melee mapping community is going to need to start on b.net, that way you guarantee everyone already plays each other and is on at the same times. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm gonna agree with you on that last part. It's hard being a mapper when you know that no one is actualyl going to play your maps like they do with alot of the korean maps, which get accepted as WGT maps and such. On the flipside, it takes alot of dedication to continue mapping through that kind of environment, and it means that established mappers are that much more dedicated to making a good map. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
