OK, i know Devourers give a 2x2 Perfect square grid


I have a ling. I need a unit that can give a perfect 1x1 square grid.
Ground interference applies.

This trigger wont work!!!! GAH!!
Ive got a Grid set up-
Keeping track of MANY MANY different types of Air units-
So, For example ive got this trigger (yes, i refuse to use the fancy trigger image thingy you have here :P )

Conditions: (dont ask why) Current PLayer Brings at least 1 Any Unit to 'Air Anywhere
Player 4 Brings at least 1 Terran Academy to '1center'

Actions: Center Location labeled '1 Grid Find' on any unit owned by Current player at 'Air Anywhere'.
Create 8 Mutant Whale At '1 grid find' for player 1. Apply Properties. (invincible, 28% health)
Center Location Labeled '1 dest' on Mutant Whale owned by Player 2 at '1grid find'
Remove all Mutant Whale for player 1 at 'Air Anywhere'
Remove all mutant whale for player 2 at 'air anywhere'
Move all any unit for Current Player at 'Air anywhere' to '1Dest'
Comment: Move Up Left
Preserve trigger

OK, so... basically the unit I am intending to have the grid affect and move is a Muta. When i bring the muta to an Academy, BAM! It freezes. Cant move it.
(Keep in mind, Hyper Triggers are included in this.)

LOCATIONS-
1 Grid Find is a 6x6 Location
1 center is a Location- 2x2, and is Centered on muta at all times
1 dest is a 2x2.

Whats wrong?

I think scourges can.
Preplace 9 scourges to your map anywhere.
Move all scourges at anywhere to "hiddenlocation"
Move all scourges at anywhere to "zergling's location".

scourges end up in alll conjumbled.... i need one that works really perfectly for a grid.
Like devourers- but only 1x1

Also, If you guys have the time,....
You see.. the latest blizzard patch does not allow Stacking of Hydras, Zerglings, Drones, Lurkers, Defilers, and Stuff like that.
Im working on something thats .... well... pretty big ... heh.... i mightve bitten off something bigger than i can chew... Actually, this is gonna be like... one of the best maps ever.
HOWEVER...
Because of that patch, blizzard just killed a key component to that map, and i might have to delete it.
is there any way i can allow Hydras to be stacked?

While youre at it, Can any of you figure out what major Defences there are out there right now?
Ive got Corsair, stacked hydra, cannon, sunken, (a new defense of my own), Tarpit, Lurk, Random Bunker D, and Turret D.... I need about 5 more... Any ideas?

Oh yea, and is there a way to Direct a vision? Like... Cut down the vision of a rine or something....
(yes i know, it seems random, but when the map is done.. Youll see it at the top of the Map list, and chuckle to yourself, thinking "Heh... Yea... That was me."
Sort of have a Field of View Kind of thing?
I can only think of Having a Blinded rine, and then having a bunch of lings burrowed and invincible , but thats a waste of units... and.. GAH i need another method!
Ive tried Moving the rine to a place with the terrain (higher elevation squares make the border of the vision)... but thats just an unnecessary waste of space on the map, and i need all the room i can get...
Any ideas?

A computer medic will automatically blind any unit with over 84 hp. You can just put one burrowed hydra under the marine afterwards... it won't waste that many units. The unit cap is 1750, so there's a lot of room for putting burrowed units. Or you can create and remove an observer over the unit over and over.
Is mutant whale a devourer? If so, you're centering on the bottom left devourer, not the top left.
The only way to stack units is to make unit sprites...

I think an observer/scourge alternating grid is about as small as it gets using air units.

Mutant Whale is a devourer... But why would it freeze? Its not moving down and left, its stopping... Even if you keep clicking as if ordering it to move somewhere, it stays put.
I cant get it to work!!! GAH

Ohhhhh Crap.... I was SO STUPID!!! i didnt think about it!!!
The rine's Field of View thing isnt gonna cut it.

I need the Field of VIew to change when the rine Rotates or moves.....
Would it be possible to create a grid, then if the rine steps into a GRid location, the Field of View Changes when he does????
.. Is that possible? Id be using alot of Locations... Is there a way i can cut it down? I have several Rines here, all needing their own Field of View, and they are different players

I'm not sure how you would go about making a straight line of vision.
Do you have any triggers that constantly order the devourer anywhere? That may be why you can't move it.

no, the Mutalisk is being Teleported/moved
The Devourers are there just for the Grid to find out where the mutalisk is moving.
i cant figure out whats wrong with it.

Can someone show me an example of moving a mutalisk Up and Left on a devourer grid?

If i do remember correctly, the unit will be blinded at 81+ hp. And the unit cap is 1650. Not to be smart... just so he doesn't get anything mixed up.

You can also stack units with disabled unit sprites. If you're going to move the stacked hydras around, you should use this method because the units will stay stacked, even if you move away and walk back.

Will the "stacked " hydras be able to Attack? Im Moving them to a 1x1 square of Dirt surrounded by water.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

that's how a friend of me did it in the past and it worked....
make a 1x1 location, put it in the right lower corner of the map, make not walkable tile there and try to teleport your hydras in that position.
if the hydras stop shoting at the enemys (the hydra tries to follow the unit who was attacked), give the hydras a patrol order every few seconds...
