Hi i want computer controlled vultures to lay spider mines i dont know if thats possibel. long ago ive made em lay mines by creating them via triggers, but that way is not how mines are layed normally. If i could get vultures to lay spider mines by an ai script would be nice.

You can't directly order them via trigger to lay mines.
You'll have to enable a certain AI script and
not give the vultures in question orders. Only idle vultures will lay mines, so they also won't lay mines if enemies are near.
The AI script I found that makes them lay mines is "Expansion [race] Campaign Insane". But there might be others too. The problem with this script is that the vultures may go to Player 3's start location when they're idle and done laying mines.

Not entirely true, theres a way to get them to lay mines if theyre being attacked under dark swarm.
I'm assuming this is what you were referring to GG as this happened on desert strike (cant remember which version maybe beta updated or silver 2012?)
None.

Yeah was on desert strike GG version i made em lay mines via triggers (just created mines via trigger when defillers came near vultures) but that seemed kinda stupid since mines was placed randomly weird spots well in some way and also mines was only made on occasion of defillers made by other team. What i want is a ai script that makes em lay mines like nuderaider is saying.

Yeah its something like that im looking for just if they only lay mines if idle i cant use that much, since its in a desert strike map i want em to lay mines. It would look kinda weird if vultures where the only unit that had no movement towards other teams temple. Are you sure they will only lay mines if idle? maybe anyone other knows a script that makes em use mines while beeing ordered?

Yeah I'm sure. Other AI scripts are likely to behave similarly, but I can't be sure, of course.
In my classic Desert Strike versions I move the vultures to the battlefield, give them like 20 seconds time to lay their mines and then order them. Works pretty well as with the speed upgrade they catch up with marines at about the middle of the battlefield.

Wouldnt they then only lay mines behind teams own temple? Maybe if i combine location with send unit order to junkyard, so that as soon as vulture gets near enemy their order is send to junkyard and they could they become idle for a short period of time

Correct, they only use mines defensively in my DS.
If you find a way to make them use mines offensively be sure to let us know!
This thread really needs to be stickied:

The best way to make the AI "own" a region is to run an AI script at the location and place a buildings owned by the computer player in the region.
