My Windows XP SP3 really wants to install Security Update for the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. Now, this is great; I love when Windows wants to install security updates. There's just one problem: It's "installed" this particular update about 50 times. It installs it and then tells me that there's a new update, which is this same update that it just "installed".
I'm not sure what to do, exactly. I've tried running the Microsoft Fix-It tool... it told me there was a problem with Windows Update and that it fixed it, but it lied about the fixing it part. Windows still really wants to pretend to install this update. The update was released on December 29, 2011, so I've been having this problem since. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains."
