There has been a lot of discussion regarding the default skin. I know a lot of you prefer specific skins over others. Here's your chance to vote for your favorite.

Keep this discussion on topic, and discuss the skins in the poll only. I'm expecting people to suggest skins that are no longer on SEN, and I will delete/edit those posts.

Even if I like some skins over others, I still think 'Epic' should be default.

Carbonite. Fixed-width goodness for all. Plus it looks sleek and shiny.

EDIT: Also, you should probably link to a picture or something of each.

Anything other than Turtle.

Turtle is a horrible, ugly, slow skin that should not be the default for new visitors to this site. Actually that's probably what contributes to this site having such a low google speed index result (53/100).

I wasn't planning on adding screenshots as any member can switch to any of the skins listed in the poll and test for themselves.

Carbonite or epic. I voted carbonite but either will make me happy.

Planets still hasn't been remade but ex wants it to be, and it looks pretty sweet to me.

Damned, I've voted Epic and then I noticed that I'm using Turtle and Epic is to much green.

I like a lot about Augustgrad but I don't think sandy colors represent SEN very well and there's a few minor graphical glitches.
Planet would be nice, but obviously it isn't an option (yet).
And while I prefer variable width skins I think Carbonite should be made default because it looks far better then the other skins. The point is that in my opinion visitors will be more attracted by a sleek site design rather than better usability (more screen space). Once they've decided to like SEN and join that doesn't matter anymore. But we have to get them to join in the first place.

tl;dr personal preference shouldn't govern your vote, but rather what you think most new people will like best.

If Carbonite doesn't win I hope Epic will because at there's no problems with it that I'm aware of.
(Unlike any of the others. Those that use the new non-round reply/delete/quote buttons are lacking an edgy gray multi quote icon, for example. Or the green profile tabs in Augustgrad.)

Get Planets up and running. We need it and it is by far the best SEN-looking skin we've had.

I think Carbonite would look really nice if it wasn't filled with 4 inches of wasted space on both sides. Why's the skin so skinny? (lolol) If it was stretched out and actually filled the whole screen, it would look good.

And wow, I forgot how about Epic looks. It makes us look like a site from the '90s.

I know I'm a terrible person but the green of Turtle just has such an allure to me. I associate the green too much SEN and it fills me happy.

Epic looks too retro for a sc2 site.

Maplantis has nice visuals apart from the grey, so it'd be a good second. If you guys could smooth out the color comparison and some of the edges (such as selecting between sc1 and sc2 forums) it'd be a definite first. Seriously the skin looks like it was designed only looking at the forum index. It has a sort of flow in the forum index that just seems nice.

And then I lost interest... (Gonna edit in my review for the others and then vote )

Wow carbonite is kinda annoying being all skinny. Like a lot annoying. The blue stands out against the grey quite nicely and the icons in the forum indexed are a nice sc1 bit, even if they are all randomly selected and a bunch are repeated. Actually the more I look at it the more it wears on me.

Augus is effing ugly nuff said.
