Interceptor uses AI action "Move&Attack" in DatEdit. On any unit except for scarab and interceptor, the unit dies on attack immediately.
Try adding "Move x" in the attack iscript. It will make the unit move towards its target while attacking. If you get it right, it SHOULD fly over every time it attacks (I think). Just try tinkering with the move command in attack animations and see what you get. (Give it a halt distance so it will fly past the target and have to move back towards it) |

Actualy, I've tried using the move opcode in attack iscripts a long time ago. Doesn't work.
