PLEASE: Read the entirity of this post.
If that isn't enough read the second post.
Making terrain appears harder for people than originally anticipated. Creativity seems to come with demanding restrictions here. Reading these would be in your best interest.
I need to get some terrain into my map and the map is separated into blocks in which I need it to be differentiated between. With the varying skill level and professionality of SEN I'd like to ask for some help in filling these gaps. Overall there're about 12 map tiles that need filling. All of these will include note in the description in-game of who did the terraining specifically. So if you want more credits by all means make more terrain!
The template is given below for the exact size I need the terrain tile to be, you can copy/paste and put it into any environment and continue on, just maintain the dimensions of the rectangle provided.
What your terrain will have on it eventually: A Pylon, one or two gateways, one or two factories, and a varying amount of vespine geysers.
So help me if you so desire.
Cheers!
Terrain: Twilight, isometrical, no squares, lots of doodads, variant tile usage.
Will be used in terrain sections accessed at different points in the game by different characters.

Questions from K_A
Does there need to be room to build on the terrain? - Yes.
Will the players be building cannons, factories, bunkers? - Cannons, no, Factories, no, bunkers, yes.
Do all of the tiles need to have a specific property? - No..?
Do they need one or multiple player/computer spawn areas? - Variant.
Do you want cliffs? - Variant.
Do you want ramps? - Variant.
Is it more important that the terrain is beautiful, or functional? - Functional base aesthetics later, most structures aren't going to be made by the player.
Will the players be defending a point on the terrain? - Depends whether or not it's their starting area/they're there before someone else. Computer usually defends.
Do the players need to attack a point on the terrain? - Yes, the majority of it (Start location) or all of it (Expansion)
Will players be controlling one or multiple units? - Multiple.
Do they need flanking room, or do they need choke points? - Variant.
Do the edges of the terrain have to fit with any isometrical tiles outside, or are they in the middle of an empty space? - Just fill in the square.
Do the areas need to be symetrical? - I don't think so.
Does there need to be one path through the terrain, or multiple paths going to different places? - Multiple paths are recommended.
The few 'variant's' are completely up to the person helping with the terrain.

Hey - even a pawn can checkmate a king. Private mail DevliN or someone and see if they'll host an old school SC1 terraining competition for you... might get better results with 1 or 2 competent people working on it though.. competitions don't always have the best turn out - but i dono maybe sc1...

Maybe I'll include some map making music.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7rXt9n6-wgI'm not the best to advise on music choice but this is one of my favourites.

Offer up some minerals if you can spare, or ask Devlin to.

and it has to be twilight?

You keep spamming a link to this, but I have a feeling that no one has helped because people are either lazy, they don't want to do all the work for you, or they have no idea what type of terrain you want. What is the point of these sections? How should they be designed? Is this some type of defense, RP/RPG, Arena, etc. map? These are critical things that could help.

Spam by point of flooding messages, I just send my thread link every time I see the SEN tab in my sea of chrome tabs. Anywho, just make some twilight terrain in the square and I'll be happy. Also, it's just a bit of terraining help, just do the square. If people think I'm making them do all the work when there's 0 obligation whatsoever then there's obviously a misunderstanding here. I can't terrain and have little to no terraining creativity.

Yes, that would be spamming it.

But what kind of terrain do you want. Keeping that open-ended is difficult. You need to give people direction.

I was under this impression as you've been "flooding" the link to this thread for days hoping someone will help you do the terrain for you. Payne offered a good resource above if you need help creatively.

Once every 3 hours doesn't qualify as spam to me, or is it to you? If you are offended I'll stop.

Generally I just need twilight terrain. Any random mix will do, I've given direction as much as what will be put on it. As I need 12 squares of this, the map is essentially a remake of a remake I made of the original, very tedious.

Flooding being more than once in a straight up stream of messages? Prove this with a screenshot or something because quite honestly I don't know how it can be considered 'flooding' if 'spam' was already stretching it a bit. Also, terrain resources don't do much cuz I can't terrain so I wouldn't effectively be able to use them. I've been here for a while and have a general knowledge of trigger replication, but that's all I've learnt.

Ok, so if I give you 12 "tiles" of terran that are fully mud, high mud, crevices etc, you'll be happy?
I guess not.
Look, if you want people to help you, you need to tell us what you want. You haven't. This isn't open for opinion - you simply have not told us in enough detail what you actually want. Do you want water? Cliffs? Wide open spaces? Clever doodad/'extended' terrain designs? What?
None.

Did you actually try out the resource that payne linked to? That's a set of SCMDraft2 brushes, which allows you do basically just add someone else's pre-made terrain onto your map, which is what you're asking for anyway.

Whatever you want, as long as it fills the template and is relatively isometrical. I need 12 filled templates; credits will be given upon entering the area where the map is used.

I don't see this as genuine, nor do I know how to do this. As I said before, I have limited knowledge in this regard.

That qualifies as spam to me, as you are repeatedly posting the same link over and over again daily. It has nothing to do with being offended, I'm just tired of seeing the link every three hours when people are clearly trying to help you and you seem to have no idea what's going on. I'm sorry you don't know how to do terrain yourself, but there are many of us who do and would like to help if we are actually given
direction.

How is that not genuine? The point of what payne posted is for people to copy terrain into their own maps and learn from it. It was made for people who don't know how to do the terrain themselves.
We're not all trying to gang up on you, but what you don't seem to get is that SC1 terrain isn't some generic thing that all looks the same. You haven't told us really what these tiles are for or how they actually need to look. GIving us the name of a tileset does nothing when, as Lanth pointed out, we could give you a square full of mud and assume you're fine with that. We need direction. "Whatever you want, as long as it fills the template and is relatively isometrical" means absolutely nothing. That would be like me telling you to paint me a picture for a specific purpose, but I wont tell you what the purpose is or what I really want it to look like in the end. You have to give us something to go off of, otherwise no one will be able to help you.
Let's start with basics that I asked about before and seem to have been overlooked:
What type of map is this? Terrain for a defense map is very different from that of an RPG.
What is the purpose of each section of terrain? Are they enclosed arenas? Are they supposed to be like various screens on an ambitious side-scroller?
What else will be placed in these sections? You mentioned a few buildings, but haven't explained why or who they are used.
Do you want the terrain to be filled with doodads to give it a more natural look, or do you want it to be more open?
Are there any maps you can use as reference to how you want each section to look?

I order you to forgive yourself!
Here is my attempt. I hope it is good enough. (It took me about 6 hours to make.)
I hope you didn't believe that.

Why is it separated like that?
None.
So that you can use each part as a different "tiling"...?
Wait.. So the entire block has to be filled with a decorated twilight area?
Is this for a roleplay map?
None.
