Hi! :D

I'm Inject. I've been playing StarCraft since 2002, when my friend got it for me for my...7th(?) birthday. Played almost religiously until about 2008, early 2009, and then my activity kind of died down. I recently just started coming back onto StarCraft, after just popping in and out for a few minutes every now and then, since my Xbox Live ran out and there's nothing else to do in my house. :wallbash:

On StarCraft, I used to be leader (before SDis...ruined the rep of the clan...) of STARS (when I was like, 13 lul), and was a member of RoMe the RoR clan for some time, all the way up until I got my old account back (this). Aside from that, I used to hang out with DL, DM, and Yugi, though I doubt they remember me. My account then might have been Thorv, FuRy[RoMe], or Josif...I honestly don't remember. I used to know Excaliber (if it's the same person, which I think it is...), from STARS. I was the old S.T.A.R.S_Leon, if you're reading this, Le0n.

I used to (attempt) to map; the closest I ever got to being done was a defense-styled map based on RE. I had all the terrain and inside triggering down, just had to add the spawns and it would have been finished. And then I reformatted my HDD. x.x Since I got back in StarCraft (StarCraft 1...too poor for SC2 and this laptop can't run it anyways), I've been trying to push myself to map again and start with some (hopefully) easy stuff to mess around with (maybe I'll eventually finish a map! :D) Downloaded and installed MacroTriggers; got an ammo system to work, now I'm trying to make it so that you can pick up a box of bullets (I understand how, in a way. I'm trying it a different way than I normally would, and I can't get it to work...How do you get a location to center on a unit and stay there? For some reason I can't get it...)

Outside of SC, I <3 Metal of all sorts, Pink Floyd, and all sorts of Rock. I love to read (but can't quite read as much as I wanted to...not enough cash to buy books >.< Need to get a job :P), especially the Romantic-Gothic stories, namely those of Poe, and Lovecraft. I love to write stories, and play my 360 (I'd love to become a programmer one day for a game, or at the very least, a software developer of sorts). I want to try to learn C++, and some other programming languages, and finish my lessons on the electric guitar... Jeez. I re-read through this paragraph and I'm like all over the place xD.

Other than that though, aside from Capcom stealing TWO of my ideas for games (if I hadn't reformatted my harddrive, I would still have the proof), I like messing around, playing Diplos on SC, and hanging out with my friends IRL. Speaking of real life, has anyone seen Insidious? I'm still freaked out by that movie..going to go see it again this weekend. :P

Hi!

Welcome to the fabled and lost realm of ultimate SC1 mapmaking, where few of the Ancients remain in this post-apocalyptic society.

Who are the Ancients you may ask? The Ancients are beings who roamed the realm of Battle.Net with honour and vast amounts of skill. They hand-crafted what has influenced today in such enormous ways, that those influences seem seamless. These Ancients lived before the dawn of SC2, and as of now only the few and resilient remain, often returning for pure Nostalgia.

The past ages were glorious; the Ancients crafted their scenarios and brought the mountains up from the depths of the seas. It is a strange thing that so few exist today, but I believe those few will leave some small but everlasting marks upon the world as they enjoy what was once known as Battle.Net's haven for the constructors and creators.

Hello Inject. I think your avatar would look better with an alpha layer.

Welcome to the community! Even though you'd had the account for years.

By the way, game development is a really rough business. You'll tend to work 60-hour weeks frequently. Or so I hear.

Yeah...Never really had any reason or incentive to join the community, until now.

Yeah. A lot of the workers don't get paid overtime, and have loads of crunch time. but, in the end, I'd like to think it'd be rewarding to see a game you've helped created on the big screen.
EDIT: Thanks for the avatar.

Check out DigiPen. I'm attending there this year and will achieve what you dream of :)

Sure there's crunch time in the industry, but programmers make a lot of money. I'm also very sure that in the major companies the workers are paid for overtime.

Just glancing at it on Wiki and it looks amazing. The other place that I'd heard about was in Arizona...this place. DigiPen looks ten times better, though.

Make sure to tell me what it's like there! :P

Yeah I've seen the guildhall also. DigiPen is no comparison. I live next to DigiPen and visit the campus all the time. Last weekend I went to their Bi-Annual LAN and took first place in the SC2 1v1 tourny :D

Ask me whatever you like about the school and I can probably answer it or find the answer for you!

Indeed I am. Welcome to my domain. ;)

Its good to see you've matured quite a bit since our last run-in, since SEN has the kind of standards I was always trying to set for STARS. Unfortunately those kidiots just didn't want to project a respectable image and thus would never stop bickering in their ceaseless chatspeak and momma jokes. :P

DM, DL, and Yugi are mine. ;)

I'm still immature...in a sense. In a good natured sense, I guess?

and, I'll fight you for DM, DL, and Yugi. :P
I doubt that the y remember me though

As for STARS...Iunno. I liked it in the beginning but then Forest came 'back', and then all of those other people 'came back', and things kind of just spiraled downward from there, culminating into SDis...Blech.

I can't play Minecraft on this computer. :flamer:

Apparently, the drivers are out of date, and I can't update them because apparently this laptop has a custom chipset...even though it's supported online by intel...:/
