Devourer never got around revising the raffle system. So when less than 5 people are playing it generates money, when more than 5 people are playing it burns minerals (10 per player over 5).
I'm not sure I understand. D:
You mean the pot goes +10 for each player that joins until it reaches 5 participants. From there on, it goes -10 per new participant?!
None.
...Basically. The raffle has a default pot of 50, and it costs 20 to put 10 in. To find at what point the system stops giving minerals, make an equation, and let x = # of participants, like so:
20x = 10x+50
10x = 50
x = 5
To find how many minerals are gained/lost, it's a similar equation:
50-10x = total change in minerals.
Okay, but someone will still get a huge pot. I don't care about the rest.

The point is if you do it via SEN it'll cost you more and the winner gets less.
Think of it this way:
You have 10 people who buy tickets for 20 minerals. 10 minerals go into the pot and 10 disappear. That leaves the pot at 150 minerals. Add 5 more people to that and the pot becomes 200.
If you run the raffle yourself and randomize the winner, the 20 mineral tickets make the pot 200 minerals with 10 people. With 15 people, it will be 300.
See the difference? Yes either way the payout is larger and people will be winning minerals, but it seems like it would be better to give the full amount of winnings rather than have minerals disappear entirely.

Point is I don't really have a need for minerals anymore, so I really just don't care.
