What would you do if you had decided to buy this huge magnet?

Quote
* Dimensions: 4" x 4" x 2" thick
* Tolerances: 0.004" x 0.004" x 0.004"
* Material: NdFeB, Grade N52
* Plating/Coating: Ni-Cu-Ni (Nickel)
* Magnetization Direction: Thru Thickness
* Weight: 138.8 oz. (3934 g)
* Pull Force, Case 1: 1226.5 lbs
* Pull Force, Case 2: 1226.5 lbs
* Surface Field: 4933 Gauss
* Max Operating Temp: 176F (80C)
* Brmax: 14,800 Gauss
* BHmax: 52 MGOe

You are looking at the largest, most powerful, most dangerous magnet we carry. At over 1200lbs of pull force, it is likely the strongest magnet available anywhere! These HUGE blocks are no joke. They are extremely powerful and very dangerous, and as such must be handled with extreme caution.

They will pinch hard enough to break the skin and could even crush if you get between two of them or one and a piece of metal. Much worse than getting a hand slammed in a car door. They are heavy, sturdy, and unbelievably strong. Once a block this large is attached to a metal surface it will be impossible to remove it.

This magnet is not a toy and should only be handled by professionals. We recommend always having at least one other person help you handle this massive block. We use a team of at least three.

You must read and understand our Neodymium Magnet Safety Page before ordering these magnets. You must also agree to our Terms and Conditions prior to purchasing. THESE ARE VERY DANGEROUS!

Due to the special manner in which this magnet must be shipped and the danger in returning it to us, we will NOT accept returns on this item. Please be sure you know what you are getting into before ordering.

GROUND SHIPPING ONLY on this item.

What would you do with it? Where would you storage it? Any evil plan that comes to your mind?
Or maybe did it inspire you some "troll-physic" ?

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

There's no point in owning a magnet of this magnitude. There's really nothing you could enjoy doing with this thing; you'd probably try to take it somewhere only to accidentally stick it to your car. Then you'll try to pull it off like you think you can muscle 1200 lbs until you realize it's there to stay. Next thing you know, you park a little too close to another vehicle and you're fucked.

👻 👾 👽 💪

You wouldn't be able to do anything with it. D: Stick it to something and it's there forever.

... Though stacking BBs on large magnets is fun.

I'm sure the box it comes in accounts for at least some of the force, so it's closer to 1,000 pounds...

Earl: Hey, George, watch me move this magnet! [picks up magnet]
George: Damn, Earl, that's a big magnet...
E: Naw, it's ok George, watch this!...[hoists onto shoulder] Ain't nuthin! [poorly secured axe comes flying through head and shatters magnet]
G: Well, I guess ya don't mind if I tell ya I cheated with your wife, and I'm takin' the rest of your beer...*hiccup*

Imagine jumping from a building with a huge metal suit while having placed this magnet at like 3rd floor, on the exterior wall. :awesome:

Chances are you'll experience the joy of the far side of the suit crushing you to the outside of your workplace, your bones snapping like twigs, your internal organs squashed into nothing, your miles of pipeworking that is your circulatory system rupturing, and your pulpy blood getting squeezed out of the suit like the juice from an orange. Unfortunately, most of this is wasted on you, unless you wore a helmetless suit.

Better yet, since it's charged through its thickness, find out which pole is which, and jump from the top of that same building with the same magnet facing the same way, and pray you didn't forget like repels like.

It goes from 1200 lbs of force to 200 after a two inch distance. I want something that will do some cartoon shit. I want to walk into a room and get impaled by spoons and anvils. Lame find.

Funny thing about lame finds, it turns out they often are the best magnets available to people. It's a magnet weighing about 4 kilos that's able to hold up something that's well over 100 times its weight.

Step 1: Attach self to magnet via metal belt.
Step 2: Attach magnet to airplane.

Enjoy free flight, remove belt when finished.

How would it be free? I'd still need a ticket to get on the plane to then use the magnet to attach myself to the interior wall. It just seems more cumbersome to be honest.
