At the moment, nothing, but a few hours ago I prepared some hashbrowns with carrot and curry powder. I don't know why, but curry powder is just the most amazingest thing imaginable in hashbrowns. Broccoli comes at a not terribly distant second.

On your six boss!

I cooked some delicious chicken and rice for dinner last night for the family.
Pretty straight forward: 2x Goya Family Size Yellow Rice boxes 1x package of lean chicken breat Cut up chicken breast, heat olive oil in pot. Add chicken, cook till pink goes away. Add water, bring to boil. Add rice, stir for two minutes. Cover, reduce to low heat for 25mins. And done. And I usually make a variation called zergling and rice for DM. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Is it in you now?

Take your Zergling meat and chop it into pieces. Put all those pieces into the large plastic bag. Now mince the garlic into little pieces. You could also crush it, instead. Put the minced/crushed garlic, the peppercorns, the water, the lime juice, and the salt in a medium mixing bowl. Stir it until the salt has dissolved. Pour the brine (the mix you just made) into the plastic bag with the Zergling. Put the bag into a bowl in case of leaks, and put it in the fridge for six (6) to eight (8) hours. Go play some Starcraft. Hours later, remove the Zergling from the brine, and place it on a plate. Now it’s time to prepare the breading. Put the tubes of Ritz crackers into a large plastic bag, and crush them down to tiny pieces. Pictured here is Annabelle, Tom’s daughter, helping me cook. For some definitions of helping, that is. She did a pretty good job getting the crackers smashed, but I decided to take it a bit further and ground it up fine in my spice grinder. You probably don’t have to do this step, but it worked well for me. Add a little bit of black pepper to this mix. Pour the flour into a large bowl, and then roll the Zergling pieces in it. Pile up the Zergling bits, and then assemble the line, with the eggs beaten to a mix in the middle, followed by the cracker mix, and ending with the hot oil pan. Take the floured Zergling and dip it in the egg. Drip off the extra egg, and then roll it in the cracker. From here you can skip ahead to the frying, but I like to get everything in place first. Now would also be the best time to make your Creep mixture, or have someone build it for you while you fry. I chose to enlist child labor, in my case. But first I put the vanilla yogurt into a medium sized bowl. To the yogurt, add the blackberry jelly. Stir it up really good. Now back to frying. Put about five (5) or six (6) pieces in at once, letting them fry for about two (2) minutes. Flip them over with the tongs, and give them about another minute and a half (1 ½). The color you are looking for is golden brown. Put down some paper towels on a plate to receive the delectable bounty. Put them down on the plate to cool. When they are finished, sprinkle a little bit of salt on them. Because we require more minerals. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. By now the Creep should be good and mixed up, too. For plating, I poured down a layer of creep onto the serving dish, and spread the Zergling nuggets all around. You’ll “rush” to get some (groan). They came out really good, but are best when eaten with the Creep mixture. |

Hmm I'm trying to decide what to cook tonight, but I don't think either of us want to spend too long on it. So probably tuna noodle casserole, or something like that.

I had IHOP. Yeah.
Two days ago, though, I made Crescent Dogs. Take one of those tubes of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, some Kraft American Cheese, and Ball Park Angus Hotdogs, slit the dogs and stick pieces of cheese in them, then wrap the crescents around them, bake for about twenty minutes, and bam. I also made a four cheese pizza that day too. So yeah. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Quick, post |

If I were as smart as I think I am...

I couldn't cook at all two months ago. Now I can prepare... rice, pasta, boil ravioli, or make nice wraps with chicken, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes and dill.
Yeah... I don't have a great cooking environment (tiny, often-crowded kitchen), so I don't bother trying to make anything complicated yet. I should figure out how to make a nice piece of meat, though. ;o ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

boiling ravioli is pretty impressive ;o A lot of people don't realize that you have to turn the water down after it starts boiling lol
...and I gave up on cooking tonight. Instead I'm having insta-taquitos. Mmm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() lil-Inferno -- Knock knock

What is NOT Dum Aloo Kashmiri:
1. Boil a sweet potato. 2. Add a finely chopped tomato and a quarter can of peas to a pan with vegetable oil, milk and curry powder. Heat slowly. 3. After boiling the potato, fry it (sliced, not whole) in vegetable oil, along with bland cheese squares (paneer if you got 'em). 4. After they are slightly browned, combine sauce with potatoes, and add a few slices of banana on top. Yes, I was going vegetarian this evening, but my god this dish is delicious. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I can cook, but I just can't be bothered when there's someone 10 times better than me doing it for me.
