Since some people have reading comprehension problems and apparently have never participated in any previous Mafia games, it's not against the rules to copy and paste your role PM to someone else. As multiple people have stated already, this is the way it has always been. You cannot share screenshots, videos, or other solid evidence of your role, such as sharing your password.

In case you don't understand what "etc" means, it means to include additional items which are relevant to the previous ones. In this case, it obviously means other forms of definitive proof.


Of course you broke the rule when you made the video of your role. The rule explicitly states you cannot make a screenshot or video of your role, so yes, of course you knew you were breaking the rules.

Again, this is the same rule used in TKG. There's a reason why quotes are allowed but screenshots and videos aren't.


Roy already addressed this Like every other Mafia game ever, you can share your role by copy and pasting it.

Which of those categories does quoting a PM from the game host fall under?

I have no idea why you guys are making such a big deal out of this, mafia has always allowed you trying to be sneaky or tricky by claiming to "quote" your PM, given the fact that they can't verify it's real or not, you're basically doing a leap of faith if you choose to believe them. There is a risk and reward behind it, unlike other forms of evidence where it is all reward.

It also helps with behavioral analysis. You have to determine if you believe it's real or fabricated. If you want to share your role, you have to decide who you trust telling. You could post it in the thread, but then Mafia would kill you.

Quoting a role PM is a valid strategy in games where a generic role PM is sent. If the hosts wants to prevent this from being used, he can utilize a non-uniform role PM. What's the big deal?

You're sending out all role PMs to everyone, but then on like the next day or something sending our real PMs, with just one sentence changed (this is your real role PM), aren't you? Lawd, that's even better than sending a townie PM to all, followed by a special role PM only to specials

I think he's doing it the opposite way. Instead of making them so generic that anyone can figure out what they look like, he's going to make them all grossly different (so each player will get a role PM unique to them).

Alright, all checks are confirmed, so roles will be sent out later tonight. Depending on how much time I have, the first game post may also occur tonight. Otherwise, it will be there tomorrow morning.

Banning role PM quotes is stupid. It's just as stupid as banning public role claims and any PM exchange between mafia participants.
