So, heya guys
first off, I want to tell you that this is not a joke post: this is absolutely and 100% meant serious.
New school has started and my rare free time became even more rare, I only got like the weekends left and I would like to spend them on other stuff than SEN, though I do not even have motivation for SEN anyways. Some of you might have seen this coming, some didn't: I'm out, not saying that I'm completely leaving SEN but I cannot take the coder and moderation position any longer. Thanks to you all for the great time and experience I've gotten, though

As for david, do not recommend him for server scripting like PHP: he is bad at these sections, but good at html and js, for which he got full access. Same goes for css.

I volunteer for PHP work. I know I'm not the most respected person here, but I do have the skills. Examples can be provided; ask me for something as an example and I'll throw it together. I do also know JavaScript but am not exceptionally good at it.

EDIT: I've modded phpBB3 and written my own forum (sort of) before, btw.

EDIT2: I know from experience that when in a position of power I can deal with my mood swings, etc, much more easily. Can't really prove this one because I've never been in a position of power relative to any of you, though. >.> (I'd also not abuse any power I get because that would actually go against my religion.)

I know you and I also know that you sort of do not have the skills. For one, you might be able to code stuff, but being a coder is not like "eheheh, I can code, yay!" it's much more, dealing with much stuff, counting on community decision, keeping contact with everyone and so on, however you prolly will be taken in consideration.

As I said, things are completely different when I'm in a position of power. I feel an obligation to the community that I don't normally.

Lulz, or you could just put DavidJCobb above me and make me listen to everything he says and fire me if I don't listen to him on coding stuff. ;P

EDIT: Let me explain the first two sentences. Right now, on any site I'm on, I have nothing invested in the site, and the site has nothing invested in me. But if you gave me some sort of power, this changes, because I've invested time in the site and the site has invested trust in me. You may have seen this back in the SC1 modding section: I had a lot invested in the modding community (because the only games I played at the time were mods) so I tried to help out wherever I could. Granted, my skills were sub-par (contrary to my own belief at the time), but that's not the case when it comes to PHP.

The real criterion for being a permanent coder for SEN is a willingness to slave away at code for 9 hours a day without pay or thanks. Anyone can write PHP.

As I said, when I'm in a position of power, I feel obligated to use it well... That includes slaving away for nine hours a day. Plus I already do anyway.

I'm not sure how I feel about biophysicist being in any position of power, but I'm not totally against second chances. I say we should give him a shot at being coder, just to see how it turns out.

TZ should fix the mySQL errors first, as a test to see if he's up to the task.

I can take over any modifications neccesary or thread moderating if needed. I haven't got promoted since I was a member here since 2002-004?
