It should cost 10, besides that the battlechest is the only thing widely avalible.

Ebay, Walmart, Target, Fry's

If you want to "prebuy" Starcraft2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832127003&Tpk=starcraft

Which costs 20 bucks :><:

Fry's had it last time I checked, but Gamestop and EB are inconsistent, except with newer games. Those are probably the only places you MIGHT have a chance of getting just BW new.

I'm amazed they still make this game.

If there's a fry's near where you live, you should get it there; they are guaranteed to have the battlechest for 10 bucks.

Broodwar alone should cost 10 which is what he wants. My suggestion however, since broodwar does not have a cd-key, just pirate a copy and use a cd-image.

This is kinda related.... do you guys know if I can just buy the original game without having it cost 20 bucks also?

Ah, even better.. Do you guys know where to sell used games?

EB Games?

Why? Take a look at sales for this game compared to other Blizzard Products:

StarCraft (9.5 million)
World of Warcraft (9.3 million subscribers)
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade [expansion pack] (3.5 million)
Diablo II (4 million)
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (3 million)

WoW is Blizzards cash cow now, but Starcraft has earned the right to have a permanent spot in store shelves. :)

Just out of curiousity, Starcraft is just the original? Where does Brood War fall, along with TFT and LoD?

None.

Jan 17 2008, 6:24 am frazz Post #19

Starcraft is Warcraft in space, and LoD takes place about 300 years after BW. :D
