...is that he's now a Global Moderator! Congrats to NudeRaider for the promotion, and for all the hard work he's done here at SEN.

Yay!

I have been wondering for a while why he only moderated the mapmaking forums, always thought he was a global moderator until I checked.

A promotion well deserved.

Thanks guys, I hope I can live up to your expectations. :)

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

Man, I thought Nude was a global a long time ago. Then again, the majority of my posts are in the SC1 map assisting section.

Congrats, Nude. I look forward to the occasional deleted post.

I think NudeRaider's promotion is pretty awesome. I don't see him around much, but when I do, he's almost always acting in a helpful capacity. :)

EDIT: It was made for black text on a white background. Don't complain. :-|

I think people overrate the 1 severity handouts. 1 severity, despite the name, isn't severe. The description says it's a tiny wrong. And you can do a tiny wrong every 3 weeks without ever rising above 1 severity, thanks to the severity decay.
And even if you get 1 severity every 2 weeks (no decay will happen) you won't hit 10 severity before 5 months and then face a 1-2 week suspension and severity reset.
I don't see this policy as harsh. And that's why we are supposed to give at least 1 severity for everything except honest mistakes and the like.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Congratulations, old wise man ;D

The policy is never followed, Nude. I've been suspended without reaching ten severity twice (Last time Ex gave me six severity (two and four) for two rude phrases said privately and suspended me). And my severity has never been reset.

Ten severity results in a mandatory suspension. Ten severity is not required for suspension.
If there is unclear wording about that in the rules, please point it out so that we may fix it.

That's what I'm saying, Moosie. Punishments aren't given out according to a formula, as Nude stated. It's much more arbitrary than that.

Centreri, may I point you to the ToS that you agreed to when you signed up for SEN: :awesome:

Quote
"You acknowledge that your membership on SEN exists because it is judged as or expected to be "mutually beneficial" to both you and SEN. SEN gives you something (access to features, databases, forums for discussion, etc) and expects something in return ("good" posting, content, maps, tutorials, reviews, etc). If, at any time, it is judged that it is not in SEN's best interest to maintain your membership, it may be terminated (blunt hint: no rule violations required), with or without notice.

By creating an account, you affirm that you are at least 13 years of age or have the permission of your parent(s)/guardian(s) to use this website. Furthermore, you also agree to behave as if you are 13+ years of age. Your account belongs to you and you accept responsibility for its security. You are advised to use a strong password, unique to this website. Accessing or attempting to access another's account without permission is a serious offense. Imitation or impersonation of another member is also a punishable offense.

When posting or submitting typed content, you understand that this website is privately owned and operated, and therefore Freedom of Speech (or your country's equivalent) does not apply, and you forfeit any rights to claim it. We reserve the right to reproduce, edit, move, or delete any and all content that you submit at any time, for any reason. When posting or otherwise entering text, you agree to abide by the rules in effect, and understand that you will be subject to moderation and administration.

We are not responsible and disclaim liability for any damage SEN may cause to your computer (hardware and software), feelings, brain, health, or social life.

Last, while these Terms of Service seem very harsh, we are usually nice and understanding people. (if you're nice and understanding to us, that is.) While it takes a lot to push us over the edge, it has happened in the past. We will not be walked over. We do not want to be told what we can and cannot do. We want to illustrate the main point that this website is a dictatorship. Thank you."

Yeah there isn't really a formula, it's guidelines. If you think you have been treated unfairly try to engage us in intelligent discussion, we're people too (though damn close to being your gods :P). If the respective Mod seems not to be reasoned with you'll have to take it with the next higher authority. If you've worked your way through and got an admin disagreeing with you then I have to refer you to the dictatorship part of the TOS. ;)
Your complaints here will not change anything anymore though.

Stop being such a good GMod from the very start. Cent knows all this - he's been involved in court-room drama with us for a very long time now. :P

nice

Suicidal Insanity -- I also still could use spec sheet for the formats to make sure I am using them correctly - it appears BWscript doesn't have string names? Or they are in a different spot?

Suicidal Insanity -- if trigedit has such things
[08:54 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- Or maybe change it to a warning
[08:54 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- I just need to disable the verification, then it would allow arbitrary characters
[08:48 am]
Pr0nogo -- would be nice to change that and see if that allows arbitrary characters

Suicidal Insanity -- Pr0nogo
Pr0nogo shouted: trigedit won't compile or throw errors, i'll try with the custom aiscript files imported to the scmd mpq
Ya trigedit has the aiscript.bin file added to its resource - it doesn't load it from the MPQs

Pr0nogo -- agreed
