Syphon's skin is infinitely better than any of the other skins. I love it.

I don't need to mention that it's great, but it lacks a few features:
Quick search, the sc1/sc2 filters, profile access (welcome Syphon, settings|messages|logout), and notices and PMs
If you can revise the design to include these I see a good chance we'll actually make this skin. And if you can, provide a screenshot of how it should look for 1920x1080 resolutions. If you don't, I see it becoming an even worse mess than the turtle skin because we're all no professional coders/designers here...
And make it SEN 5.1 for now. ;-)

Btw. I'd like a comment from David or Devo about the do-ability of the skin.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I talked to Devourer about it. He wants to wait until all the coding stuff is done before doing it. Otherwise all he (or we) would need is the PSD of it.

On the epic skin (probably applies to the turtle skin as well) why am I forced to choose between only viewing the SC2 forums and viewing the SC forums? Why can't I just have all the forums visible?

I made it pretty quickly, and I am not in a huge rush to code it. I would *not* provide a screenshot of it in widescreen because everything I make is resolution independent.

It's just as doable as all the other ones. I've done things much more complex. This is simple.

Hello

yea, devilesk, http://www.staredit.net/?p=settings&area=forum
As said, we cannot do this skin for now but it will be implemented.
(And yea, it shouldn't become a problem to do this skin... maybe except for the navigation but else it should work).

Not sure if this is where I post bugs for the new update... (but I'm too lazy to look around for other topics).
Middle clicking opens a new tab loading the page, but also loads the original page to w/e was clicked on defeating the purpose of the middle click.
Just checked; same problem with ctrl-click, which does the same as the middle mouse click, except changes to the new tab (instead of just opening and remaining on the original tab).

Using chrome.

Dev your link doesn't work because of the "s" at the end
Also, the skin is a bit too wide on my resolution (1280x1024)

EDIT: zoom out fixed the problem

I have the same resolution and it's perfectly fine, update your browser?

Relatively ancient and inactive

Why does it seem like everyone is saying their catchphrase in the shoutbox, and mine is... "fuck"? That just hurts. :(

Anyway, that skin of Syphons is definitely a good skin, but given the choice, I'd stick with the Maplantis skin (or, well, Maplantis itself would be nicer). I definitely think we need to move away from the navigation-bar on some skins and leave it as text links, and I really liked how Maplantis had that. The maplantis skin also utilizes a bit more screen real-estate width-wise by utilizing 100% rather than 100% - 100 or whatever his skin uses.

If you're referring to forum links on the Forum Index, it's probably because Dev added onclick JS. He wanted the entire subforum item to be a link, but only wanted to use an actual A element on the forum title. A decent idea, though it violates some usability practices (unexpected behavior -- only a link should be a link).

Skin's definitely doable from a client-side perspective, though only Devo would know for sure if it can be implemented server-side. Shoutbox text input form, however, is way too small -- it'd be near-impossible to read what you're typing. Things like the forum headers would require a couple of non-semantic elements, but only a few, so I'd be cool with it. I would recommend more padding on areas that have text, like the shoutbox.
