What do you think are some of the best animated movies you've watched?
These can include: Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks Animation, etc.
I'll start. Disney: - Lion King. Easily one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. - Little Mermaid: Can't go wrong with hot chicks in flippers and bikinis.
Pixar: - Well I love every Pixar movie but if i had to narrow it down, I'd say Toy Story 2 & 3 stood out the most to me. Words cannot describe how awesome and hilarious these two movies are.
Dreamworks Animation: - Shrek 2. Probably the best computer animated movie I've ever seen. - Kungfu Panda: I dunno, but it's so funny - How to Train Your Dragon: Something about this movie just brings a smile to my face. Like one movie critic said, this has that "Pixar" feel to it.
Miyazaki definitely bends the curve in Japan's favor, but America most recently has turned out some really great animated films. I loved Toy Story 3...the voice actor for Andy was the same voice actor in Toy Story the first =) I really like Up, it was very emotional and the characters were really quite well developed. Traditional animation wise, I think I love most of the Disney Princess movies, especially Beauty and the Beast. I was really touched by Princess and the Frog, and I'm really really glad they brought the heroine into present day and made her willing to work and work hard for what she wants, instead of relying on prince charming to steal her away and provide for her forever. I always thought that the Great Mouse Detective was a cool movie, but that's now a little dated.
In short, any movie that moves me to tears is a great movie. So, that would be...Into the Wild Green Yonder (sorry...I love Fry and Leela), Up, Wall-E, Toy Story 3, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few others.
No but really, Toy Story 3 was one of the best movies I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it!
Is it good for 16 years old as well? Just curious.
Its different types of good for different age groups...like...18-22 can probably relate with Andy's side of the story where he's getting ready for college, and as you get younger it becomes more "LOL TOYZ." I wouldn't recommend it for really small kids though. I don't know about anyone else but that damn monkey was a little freaky.

Hah yea. I'm 17 and I saw it with a couple of my friends. Yea we did see it at 12:00 am.... but the whole theater, comprised of 15-35 year olds, and we, loved the movie.
Everything by Pixar except Cars. Pretty much anything by Miyazaki, although Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away really stood out. Ugh and I wish Ponyo had a more complete ending.
Beauty and the Beast should have won the oscar for best film in '91, but unfortunately silence of the lambs was apparently really good. Not only that, it was the highest grossing animated film ever in the US. Until UP it was the only animated film to be nominated for best picture.

Toy Story 3 is definitely the best god damn movie I've ever seen. It's great for ALL ages. I don't care if your 5,17,or 80, it's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Trust me it's 5000% percent better than the first two. Lots of people (yes, teenagers (omg)) have cried from it from both laughing to sobbing. I give this movie A++++++++++++++++++!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
