Normally, the Nydus Worm comes up over the course of 20 (I think) seconds, flails around like a retard, then settles down. I need it to instead come up over the course of one second, not flail around, and then reverse the animation. Any suggestions?

(To kill that which kills cats: It's for a machinima project. The Nydus Worm is being changed to a servant of Hades that come up from the underworld to devour someone and drag their soul into Tartarus.)

The timing of the animation would need to be changed in 3ds max. As far as I know, the editor doesn't have any ability to edit animations.

I need the Nydus Worm to come up out of the ground (like it does normally), play the unload unit animation, then go back underground (like the animation where it erupts from the ground in reverse).

Well changing the time is not hard at all.

Open up the abilities tab, find "Nydus Network - Build Nydus Canal". Go to ability info and open Build 01. At the bottom you can modify the time. I suggest you take a look at actors, you could possibly reverse the animation in the previewer as it as some recording/animation ability.
