When I first walked into SEN today, I first noticed that the little logo beside the address had changed. I quickly recognized it as the logo of BP, which I verified with a quick google.

Is internet explorer being buggy, or is SEN seriously adopting the logo of BP?

👻 👾 👽 💪

IE is being buggy ... SEN has the globe icon. ;o

I even cleared my cache and reloaded to make sure. ... I still see the globe. You should probably do the same.

Hello

Yea. I recommend switching to FireFox, opera or chrome.
IE... well... sucks.

Please report errors in the Staredit.Network forum.

Wait, didn't you get the notice? SEN is now owned and operated by BP. :P

Yeah. We research ways to make starcraft mappers more aware of the environment.

If I ever see you using IE again, I'll do something drastic. Like tracking your internet address to your home and making you install Chrome at gunpoint.

If I ever get a chance to help with the site's code, I'll have to really resist the urge to insert one of so many IE-crashing pure-HTML-and-CSS codes...

Hey, in my book, forcing people to switch to Chrome or at least Firefox is a good thing.

Anyone else think it's funny and ironic that the "communist" uses a closed-source browser made by a global corporation?

No. Why would that be funny or ironic?

I don't even know how to get other browsers... IE is the only thing I've ever used on a personal computer... (no wait, I used firefox at one point because something wouldn't work with IE, but I don't remember how I got it...)

How do I get something besides IE, and what's this "Google Chrome" thing I keep hearing about?

Anyone else think it's funny that the same person who said that I was "such a complete idiot that I feel sorry for your mother for you having climbed out of her cesspool of a womb and entered the world" (http://www.staredit.net/topic/10503/) is still around to make yet another personal attack? (Yes, I'm very bitter. I don't forget things like that.)

I don't know why you feel the need to make fun of me. Can you just tell me how I get whatever browser it is you want me to get?

I wasn't making fun of you; You asked if it was funny, and I said it was.

Oh, right, sorry. I thought you were being sarcastic. It seems that I can only detect sarcasm when it's not present >_<.

Ok, so do I want Google Chrome or Firefox? I'm completely unfamiliar with the interfaces of either. What are the differences between the two?

People prefer different ones. Chrome comes with more features out of the box, looks nicer and gives your webpages more room. It's usually faster than Firefox and more stable than Opera. Opera is fastest but has fewest add-ons and is less stable than Chrome, while Firefox is the most extensible but is also rather slow and has a clunky interface.

Depends. If you don't give a shit about all the extra functionality, like me, IE is fine. If you want to be a freaking web browser fanboy, then get something and be a freaking web browser fanboy.

Jun 8 2010, 1:38 am Jesusfreak Post #20

What do you mean by "stable"? Do they crash sometimes or something?

EDIT: And no, I don't want "extra functionality." I want something that gives me access to the internet so I can use google, chat on forums, and play SC.
