Just for fun this is about those things that piss you off on battle.net I know I have quite a few. I mean there's the obvious choices like dumbass newbs, or annoying hackers, but those are too easy :P

I'll start off with a few:

People calling the person who's Orange 'OJ': Okay I seriously don't know how this happened. One day I signed on and people were seriously using OJ as a abbreviation. It sounds so stupid >.<
First off there's no J in orange and OJ isn't a color, OJ is what you drink with breakfast. Do we really need an abbreviation for orange anyway? People say its cause orange takes too long to type out, but White Brown and Green are only one letter less then orange, and nobody says Br, Whi, or Gre. And you know why? Cause it sounds fucking stupid just like OJ does. So type out the extra 4 letters people and stop sounding like a dumbass.

People who host Korean maps on US servers: Not so much because they're hosting Korean maps, but because they don't explain the way the map works to you and get mad when you don't know what the fuck you're doing. I'm sorry I don't know how to read Korean so don't get mad at me for not being able to play the fucking map.

And also I'm tired of playing korean maps were in order to play the map you have to spam click the mouse until your fucking finger breaks. I know Koreans are good at that since they're so good at starcraft, but to me it's not fun.

Those are all I can think of at the moment feel free to post yours :P

More has to do with phonetics and because orange juice is orange. Orange could also be spelled phonetically oranj, and thus oj. It saves time especially in intense situations when typing out orange simply isn't an option. furthermore... I've seen people abbreviate other colors pretty crazy, like green being dg, though I just say grn. We're lazy bastards :P

Trash talkers, people who haven't been on bnet long enough to know classics, and people who use chatspeak to such an extent that I cannot understand what they're saying.

A small list:
-Temple Siege Chaos
-Force attackers in regular TS
-Downloading from people with slow upload speeds.
-Hackers who constantly join your games to drop you.
-Adding someone you never talk to.
-The overwhelming list of Fastest games.
-The overwhelming list of rigged games.
-People who play games just to be douches.
-DL=BAN (seriously, its true that DL MAY equal NOOB, but not always)
-Koreans on WEST.(Nice diversity, but if you're gonna join, at least TRY to communicate, or learn how to play.)
-People assuming that Koreans are uber pr0 hax. (I have many friends that can disprove this theory).
-Impatient hosts who leave after about a minute of waiting.
-The leaving chain reaction that starts after 1 person leaves a game.
-AFK hosts
Finally, that bit of lag when host tries to save game. 1 small lag and everyone is like "OMG OMG OMG ITS RED, YOU LAG. GTFO." :disgust:

Isn't that caused by being blacklisted by a hacker in the game?

The bolded one I can relate to the most :innocent:. Everywhere I go there is always a laggy host. I have dialup and can host.

I hate drophackers. And allah-esque hackers. The general douchebaggery of the brands of malicious hackers that exist is just... disgusting.
My peeves? Why sure, I'd love to share with you.

First of all is Dem0ns1ayer, he frequently bashes SEN in it's own channel, yet does absolutely nothing other than: Do outlines complain about outlines, bother anyone and everyone with incessant and annoying conversation, talk about hot girl in spanish class, and other nuisances. I suppose that isn't really a pet peeve though so...
-People who think that SEN is a clan. I once had a person go "What would happen if I said this clan sucked. Would I get banned?"
-People who lack clear reason
-People who are being screamed at ingame, but aren't paying attention
I'm sure there's more that haven't been said.

I hate people who try to hurt others' feelings by making fun of how bad they are at a game. I'd rather be bad at a game than sit on my ass all day and become 'pro' at it.
I also hate it when people try to insult others by insulting their map-making abilities. I'm glad that I don't waste my time making thousand-trigger maps for an ancient game.

1. The evergrowing population of uneducated illiterate players.
2. The slowly dying roleplay community. (Seriously guys, I'll miss you.)
3. The lack of good games being hosted.
4. Temple Siege, and any game that is similar to DotA made on StarCraft.
5. The lack of literate players that can actually talk to you, and become your friend.
6. Illiterate players who host roleplay maps so that all their noob friends can join and ruin it for other experienced players.
7. The lack of roleplay maps being hosted.
8. The lack of roleplay.

When people join a melee game and then leave as soon as the game starts.

Jun 2 2010, 4:35 am FoxWolf1 Post #14

1. People who join a game that is unfamiliar to them, put absolutely zero effort into learning how to play (i.e. don't read directions, don't read unit names, don't experiment to see what things do, etc.), and then become upset at the fact that they are clueless.
2. People who want someone else, often the enemy (!), to make all their decisions for them: what units to buy, what game options to vote for, etc.
3. Drophackers, maphackers, crashhackers, and all other scum of this ilk. If the days where in-map antihacks would crash the hacker, screw up their SC disk image, and give them a disconnect all at the same time were to come back tomorrow, it would not be soon enough.
4. People who leave any time it doesn't look like they're going to win. Have a little fighting spirit, people.
5. People who automatically dislike and insult any map where they're not winning, even when the difference between their play level and that of the other team is such that their winning would mean that the game was either random or rigged in their favor. Doubly bad when combined with #1, as it often is-- it's shocking how many people join a game and expect to be able to beat the map's creator without even attempting to learn how to play.
6. "Go". It's my game and I'll go when I feel the time is right. If you absolutely can't stand doing nothing for 30 seconds, read a book or something.
7. The lack of people willing to learn and play good maps that are not well-known or by well-known authors.
8. The lack of people willing to learn and play BattleCruiser Command.
9. People who join someone else's Temple Siege game, then insist that everyone randoms, and proceed to get pissy when people pick. If you want everyone to random, join a game that says "Random" in the name; don't join someone else's game and act like it's yours.
10. People whose only word is "Aaaaaaah!!!". All that screaming does is hurt my ears (or my text-ears, as the case may be); it does not make you funny or cool. So shut the f**k up already. Please note that this point applies to college students and partygoers as well as battle.net kids, and doubly so when I am working or trying to sleep.

Jun 2 2010, 12:15 pm Zhuinden Post #16

A few of mine have already been mentioned, I'll do my best at recalling everything:

1. As I'm from Europe, there are hardly ever any good games hosted before 9 PM, and even after that.
2. There are barely any good games EVER hosted.
3. The only game hosted at every single moment is Temple Siege.
4. Hardly anyone is able to host who would host good maps. (I'm also included - internet issues, not router issues.)
5. People who DO host Desert Strike Night Fixed, but are not willing to download the latest version, because "they're lazy" or "they don't care".
6. When I use Map Injection to distribute Desert Strike Night Fixed latest version, and the host always leaves when he sees the DLs start at 44%, and never lets the DL finish. (LOL) And then they cry when I get bored of their dumbness and crash them for leaving 3 times, ruining my distribution! What a shame.
7. Clubbunk aka B52 aka RmAfterPlz hosting Bunker Wars at some times of the day, in which if he brings an SCV to the bottomleft corner on the left side with Player 7 (Marine), he gets money; on the map called Bunker Wars Unriggable [BA].
8. The lack of literate people on BNET - it's like I'm almost the only one who can actually write in a language that is not even my native language!
9. The people who whine about hackers and do no effort whatsoever to fix their problems by either adapting to the fact that hackers have more power over StarCraft and they should not ban them (as they'll just come back to haunt them), or they could also start using hacks to be protected against various harrassments.

10. The lack of people with enough common sense to realize that AFK Hosts are there to host the map so others can DL it so they would also host it and play.
11. The lack of people with enough common sense to realize that people who join, DL and leave with 100% joined to download the map and not to play it at that moment.
12. People who whine about AFK hosts because they are too dumb to realize point #10.
13. People who whine about korean maps because they are too dumb to watch the other players play, and therefore have no idea about how to play, OR they are too dumb to realize that an arena map consists of units to pick and a spell caster building and therefore all they have to do is check the skill list, but they are too dumb to realize it's just "yet another arena map", and then blame the other players for not telling him what's obvious.
13. Temple Siege Chaos v21
14. The RPers who want to ban me, drop me, and when they don't succeed start leaving because I take over the Ban area and actually want to do nothing with that at all.
15. The lack of people who play korean maps, and good korean maps, and also Missile Warfare 4.84.3P.

16. The hosts and players who have no idea about how the downloading system works, therefore when someone with 100% leaves and they freeze at 97%, they say "oh I'm frozen so I'll rj" and then I facepalm and want to destroy the entire world - because with such idiots, the world should not exist.
17. People who leave 3 times at 40% because "the DL is too slow", and in total they would have 120% - but they're just too dumb to realize this.
18. That playing SC is not worth my time, yet I still do it.
19. That Battle.net is dying, as the intelligent people have all realized #18, and they have left already and carried on with their lives.

20. That nothing on Battle.net matters anywhere anymore, not even on Battle.net itself.

Noobs, hackers, people that abuse glitches, Koreans playing melee on US servers (seriously, thats just imba), flamers (xQx, claims hes the best Temple Siege player ever).
Laggers, and hosts that refuse to listen to me when I tell them someone lags, then they complain about the game lagging.
People who make fun of other people because they beat them at some stupid pub map.
When I'm on in the mornings, almost all the games hosted are by Koreans, on US West.

Also,

Lots of good ones haha. I agree Zhuinden, It's sad how bad battle.net has deteriorated and it may not matter anymore, but dammit It's still part of my childhood and I'm still playing it 10 years later so i say it still matters to me :D

1- People who call you a noob, then constantly says "I WIN!" 10,000 times before leaving after you destroy their balls.
2- Neverending message spam after the game saying "I WIN!"
3- Being stalked to every single game by that person after squelching them, and them joining saying you hack just to get you banned.
Worst of all:
4- Back Stabbers, they raid you with a thousand carriers while you are currently destroying an enemy. Only 2 times out of like... 20 I have been able to counter.
EDIT:
EVEN WORSE: Strip maps, it's degrading to us women :(
