not really, only if you completely ignore your base at the time. If you ignore your base then yea.
But even if you got zerglings in, and distracted them, while also focusing on your base too, youll be ahead. Plus youll know what they will have. If they blocked you out before you can get zerglings in your base, they get the advantage, because they will know what your doing and at what point/ what you have. Thats why you get roaches as soon as possible, whether the rush fails or not. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Skin to bone, steel to rust, ash to ashes, dust to dust.

That's normal for a rush strategy.
Anyway, this just looks like a standard 4-pool, except it's SC2, so, what, 6-pool? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Red classic. I have mostly left SEN except for the Temple Siege 2 forum (hidden to most of you). I am available via PM still, and Skype as JackRCDF. If it is important to you, you will find a way. Otherwise, you will find an excuse. -Unknown Magnificent! Perhaps you shouldn't be on SEN as much, too... Better than the iPad! |

Lol, of course you get workers. Ill make a more accurate step.
1. Send all workers to minerals 2. Use 1 drone to make a pool 3. Make another worker for minerals 4. Make 3 (6) zerglings, send them to opponents resources, NOT on auto attack. 5. Make a overlord 6. Make a couple more drones for minerals 7. Make another set of zerglings (If your rush didn't fail) 8. Make another overlord, then a worker to make a roach warden, make another 2 drones 9. Work on getting gas too And you just progress from there. I may have missed something but I think im close. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sounds like if your rush fails, you'll have put yourself several minutes behind everyone else. Anyway, this just looks like a standard 4-pool, except it's SC2, so, what, 6-pool? Lol, 4-pool isn't dead. Send 2 Drones to harass. Ehehehehehe. I never liked 6pooling. When I do rushes, I do 7pool or 8pool, neither of which sets you back as far economically. Also, I rarely rush - just 7pooled a few times back in Silver because I wanted out fast. Managed to kill quite a few noobs that way - even one guy who forfeited as soon as my six lings walked in his front door. I was like dude, you could've killed them all with SCVs... but I'll take the win, thanx. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "We live, as we dream - alone..."

Hello.
|
Pulling all harvesters off your worker line is not the way to go. Leave at 3-4 workers on minerals, and get a surround on the zerglings.
Also, any opponent who scouts should be able to see your 6-pool fairly easily and opt for a wall in. 6-pool also sets your economy far back, and the (easy to survive) rush gets obliterated by a counter-attack of: Speedling Roach Speedling Mutalisk Mass Zealots Blink Stalkers M&M Ghosts. |
