Mental Asylum

Story Line:

After waking up suddenly from a nap by a strange voice, you notice things aren't what they were before you slept. You hear frieghtning noises around you and immediatley try to find out what is going on in the place you work at, unfortunatley this place is a mental asylum filled with one of the most insane and sadistic human beings known to man.

You slowly realize the situation your in when witnessing one of your fellow co-workers suiciding them selves because they can't take the destruction and anarchy occuring in the asylum. You and three other doctors are now making your way through the hospital seeking a way out. As you explore deeper into the asylum you go through various puzzles and deranged patients to escape with your live.


The plot thickens as you find out what caused this outbreak inside the asylum. You see on the news that a chemical spill was the reason why these patients, doctors, and nurses were becoming enraged with anger and acting unusually aggresive. This chemical spill contaminates the air you breathe so you constantly have to be attentive to your oxygen levels to make sure you dont become enraged. You later find out that the authorties are going to send a swat team in to eliminate the enraged people inside the hospital, killing anything in sight. Now you dont just have to worry about the crazy humans inside you have to be wary of the swat team armed with high tech weapons executing you any chance they have.

Is there a way to use all of these weapons? I can only use the shotgun. Walking next to a knife, machine gun or any other weapon does nothing.

I reached the point passed the lurkers where there's a chest and two beacons and I don't see how I can go further. Is there more to the game or will further content be available in future updates?

Overall, the game is pretty decent. There a few annoyances however. For instance, I found the part where you are trapped with broodlings for five minutes to be fairly irritating. Most of the broodlings just roam around without attacking you at all and there is very little to no challenge on my part.

What would be nice is a better inventory like a shuttle or a stargate; that way, items could be used in the midst of combat and you could thus ajust the game to be much harder, make them more abundantly available and consequently require additional skills from the player to time their use. Manual aiming by making enemies allies, an ammo system with reloading and diverse weapons or abilities that produce effects instead of changing your unit would also be good additions.

As I've said, the game is pretty good. Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks for your feedback. This game is intended to be played on B.Net with three others. So its a total of four players. Thats why you were stuck at the two beacon part because you need some one else to hop on the other one. Yes your suggestions are very valid and some of them I even thought of but never implemented them into the game. As far as the weapons I made it so only knives or other doctors can grab new guns so the people with guns wont hog all the weapons. But all in all im glad you enjoyed the game chia-tyrant but for a better experince play with three other friends.. or pubbies :P

To UnholyUrine I did make this map in a week while the contest was being held so I guess it could be entered into the contest. Don't know if its to late or not though, maybe I could find out.

Played this a few times yesterday. We got to the first boss/archon? I'm guessing its the first boss and we pretty much got slaughtered there haha. Great job, though I wasn't really liking the huge distance between your items and the Use beacon. But it's simple, fun, and pretty challenging. Reminded me of the map House on Haunted Hill.
