No idea where I should put this. I wanna put it under UMS, but there is no "UMS Discussion" section.
Labrynthos is a big map, some people love it, some people hate it. I wanna know who the majority is!
Post why you think the way you do.
Personally, and don't get me wrong I LOVE a challenge, I found labrynthos to simply be too taxing. An extreme amount and variety of skill is required that would make even the most battle-hardened Koreans cry, it's just too much. I found myself getting frustrated way too often for it to be even worth it to complete it.

I liked it and played it with some friends for a while (at least 4 hours
). There was one little thing I remember being unable to get past (We got to the end of the 2nd or 3rd world or whatever ... I don't remember), so we saved hoping to continue later ... which we never did.
It was fun, but I wouldn't want to do all of that again.

While it's not personally to my tastes (too long, too frustrating), I'd still count it as a success, because it does seem to satisfy the people for whom it is "right". Different people have different tastes after all, and even maps that the majority of people dislike are sometimes successful occupants of niches that are simply, themselves, less popular.
Plus, it's got nice background music.
None.
I thought it was a failure. There isn't enough awesome action crazy stuff, I'd rather play a fast paced rpg. Too freakin long.
None.
I tried it because I wanted to play the part where you use a carrier as a ship and launch interceptors like cannonballs. But, I never got there because it was (as others have said) too long and taxing.
None.
XD took me 10ish hours all people left, I hacked the game near then end so yay me

I didn't went far, but I loked the mechanics, even if it was indeed slow paced. The thing drawing people away from this map is definately the time it takes.
None.
Very good game mechanics, but only the first world was taking way too much time to beat.

If you're going to make an rpg that big you should probably make sperate parts

Clearly you guys don't remember the original Mario games, back when you couldn't save the game and had to beat it all the way through, Pro style.

@Vrael: I remember! The frustration made my balls go back up inside me.
And I think Labrynthos is a success. I personally don't like it, because it is way too slow, but other people do.

I got stuck at the Carrier part (In your face, qPK).
But there's when the shit really hits the fan..
you had to find a critter, which randomly walks around the whole place!!!! We tried for almost an hour to find him, and no luck.

I thought this game was a success because it is what the map maker wanted. An incredibly long, and difficult RPG which has been around for a long time.

clearly you don't remember warps which gave you the ability to either use it as a continue system or as a way to skip through the game without playing most of it.
my biggest problem with this is the upgrades lasting forever. I luv the little maze crap thought it was neat as for the rpg element it sucked donkey balls

I voted fly because the map was extremely well made and fun although it being a 3mb multiplayer map JUST to have sound effects is extremely inefficient imo.
None.
I voted fail. Because this game pissed me off to end when I played with my friends. I nearly cried when I realized there were four mazes.

I actually finished the game with a group of RPG'ers who heard about this game and wanted to play it, If I had something to say about them, Watch out Team Korea because they played so well as a team and it took us 4 hours to actually beat the whole entire freaking game. I got their replay, because I died 3/4th of the way (After the carrier with cannonballs part, that was the most hilarious part for me). I died from a fail accident relating archons and infested terrans
What I learned is that, this game is trully fun, but the bad thing is it's goddamn so long that I think everyone playing would ragequit!
None.
Btw, And I got passed the critter part, (wow XD) because the critter was running towards us.
