I need a square terrain for a battle area with turn based battle system featuring movement, directional attacks, area attacks and loads of other stuff.
However, rivers are a troubling aspect. I'm trying to create a river which is about 2 or 4 squares thick, square and blended.
A low riverbank seems impossible to make without blocks, so I'll settle without one.
Here's a small thing I've made already, but I have no idea on how to create corners for it or make a vertical one and it doesn't look very natural
Maybe some of you have played Final Fantasy tactics for the GBA.
It's that battle system which I will try to recreate in an SC map.
None.
Try different doodads/wall things? Then it'll look more natural.
None.
I have.
Maybe I need to search harder then.
If someone already has a blend for this, plz post.
-Thx in adv.

could you post a small screenshot of the game off google or something? that would help with visualization
None.
Yeah, blending that is quite easy, just gotta know the tiles.

There's another slight problem.
The terrain of the game is isometric and I can't use grids with that if I want a movement system.
Cliffs are also nasty business.

-P.S. I HOPE THAT THAT TEAM ISNT YOURS CAUSE IT SUCKS!!!! ALL SUMMONERS FTW!!!!!

None.
Is your capslock jammed or something?
None.
He managed to fix it by the P.S.S.
But in all seriousness, just use waterfalls in between the cliffs with water, and you don't need to follow the game exactly, there ARE some limits to SC
.

@Rory:
That IS my team lol.
And I don't have any summoners yet since I only started a new game yesterday.
I never played the ps1 version, But I'll find an emulator and give it a shot.
@Falkoner: I know I don't have to follow the game exacly.
Infact, I'm thinking that I'll leave cliffs out of it because I have no idea on how to make them obstacles when moving around.
Also, I'm making the battle areas rectangular instead of isometric so I can use grids with ease.
EDIT: Emulator doesn't seem to work, or it needs some file I don't have, sorry.
PS: Isn't this a terrain topic?

The GBA version isn't the only FF game that has bangaas and vieras.
OFF TOPIC!Can someone move this to UMS help or inovation pl0x?
I've decided I'll make a map with a similar battle system,
However I can't do it alone.
PS: It's not impossible to get that emulator to work so I can understand the game better by playing a different version.
Though the FAQs on the site I got it from aren't very helpfull and there's no guide for it.

I'd like you see creating a turn with that. And with a cliff too.
Then most of my problems here would be solved.
