I don't know why that happens ... If I make a build it does that, but if I run it inside of VB I get no errors so I can't figure out where the errors are ... I think it has to do with the tileset loading bugging out, which is what I tried to fix there.

Sometimes your preview window in the finalizing step does not match up with the preview on the adjustments step. This only happens occasionally with desert afaik, although it might occur for other tilesets as well.

Sorry for the delayed response; I just recovered from 15 hours of driving.

The new .exe fixed everything for me. No more run-time error no matter what I try. Thanks, Farty.

Are you using the new EXE (from mediafire) or the old one? If it is the old one, it may be loading the files wrong and thus generating an incorrect preview.

And those who have tried the new EXE, when you open a map is the preview the same as when you open it in an editor or StarCraft?

I had the problem once on the old exe on desert terrain, but no problem with the current one so far.

Put the quick little fix as an actual release and added a new feature! as requested (I think) by Aristocrat.

If you double click the preview in the Adjustments tab, a new window will open up with the 2x preview. Double click that and it will toggle between 4x and 2x zoom.

How good/bad would the pictures look if you were limited to walkable (and possibly buildable) terrain only? I think this could still be decent and useful for basic solid shape designs, could this be added as an option?

Buildable/walkable terrain types are extremely limited in minimap color range (Even now MapSketch only has access to a ridiculously tiny fraction of the 2^24 color gamut of a typical picture), although you could always photoshop the original picture to comply with the normal minimap coloring and subsequently port it into MapSketch and fill in the terrain with "standard" brushing as you see fit.

Pictures look bad if you limit the tiles since a lot of colors are unique tiles...

Yes, and even fewer are available in minimaps.

Anytime I try and select a tileset I get run-time error 9, subscript out of range. Note this is on a new map, opening one works just fine.

Did you use the latest build?

For some reason it's loading tilesets wrong, but only in the final build and not in any debug builds ...
