So it has been several years since I did any modding and I never really got much done with it, mostly just played around with Arsenal III for unit ranges and attacks and such. Well I am thinking about getting into it again and was just wondering what the most up to date, and most used tools are. It seems things in this area went out of date with every patch so I think its probably worth asking.
Edit: I also remember people were trying to figure out a way to play mods online easily, did anything ever come of that? I didn't think that was worth making another topic.
None.
Get Corbo's Modding Tools Package from DLDB. It has everything you'll need, though it's DatEdit and Firegraft are out of date. PyMS is good for PyTBL and PyICE, but the other Py* programs have random glitches that I wish would be fixed. (Hint, hint, pq.) Voy's tutorial in Modding Assistance explains how to use these programs.
Mods can be played online using a downgrader and ShadowFlare's Realm.
Also, add me on MSN. tassadarzeratul@live.com

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I don't have MSN, but I do have xfire, if that works.
