[2015-6-28. : 3:17 am]
Roy -- Just open them.
[2015-6-28. : 3:17 am]
zsnakezz -- excellent question
[2015-6-28. : 3:17 am]
Dem0n -- yeah
[2015-6-28. : 3:17 am]
zsnakezz -- good inquiry demon
[2015-6-28. : 3:17 am]
Roy -- Two projects in the same solution?
[2015-6-28. : 3:16 am]
Dem0n -- From two different projects, I mean
[2015-6-28. : 3:16 am]
Roy -- Tabs.
[2015-6-28. : 3:16 am]
Dem0n -- Also, how can I have two different .cs files open at the same time in VS?
[2015-6-28. : 3:16 am]
Dem0n -- Roy
Roy shouted: Dem0n The exception tells you what the problem is. If it says it cannot find the resource, it's probably because you're not using the content name.
I am though
[2015-6-28. : 3:14 am]
zsnakezz -- because apparently i have a low IQ, or perhaps weed syndrom
[2015-6-28. : 3:14 am]
Roy -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: Why am I getting an exception while trying to load this image :|
The exception tells you what the problem is. If it says it cannot find the resource, it's probably because you're not using the content name.
[2015-6-28. : 3:14 am]
zsnakezz -- because it took me until now to find another way to do it
[2015-6-28. : 3:14 am]
zsnakezz -- "why did it teleport the player just now?"
[2015-6-28. : 3:13 am]
zsnakezz -- if said player walks back to said object that gave the said options in the first place
[2015-6-28. : 3:13 am]
zsnakezz -- when you walk up to things, it gives you options, i teleport the player, because the options text would overlap with the dialogue
[2015-6-28. : 3:11 am]
zsnakezz -- sometimes, i worry myself with how long it takes me to discover these things
[2015-6-28. : 3:11 am]
zsnakezz -- huh, just found a way to replace the teleport the player dialogue system with something much easier
[2015-6-28. : 3:10 am]
Excalibur -- Vrael come play
[2015-6-28. : 3:10 am]
Dem0n -- I loaded it in the way they said to do it :(
[2015-6-28. : 3:09 am]
Moose -- You sound mad.
[2015-6-28. : 3:09 am]
Dem0n -- Why am I getting an exception while trying to load this image :|
[2015-6-28. : 3:09 am]
Dem0n -- eh
[2015-6-28. : 3:08 am]
Vrael -- demon coop campaign?
[2015-6-28. : 3:05 am]
Vrael -- WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
[2015-6-28. : 2:41 am]
Dem0n -- I see.
[2015-6-28. : 2:41 am]
Roy -- Yes.
[2015-6-28. : 2:41 am]
Dem0n -- Ohh is that what it's talking about?
[2015-6-28. : 2:41 am]
Roy -- http://i.snag.gy/O4Dq8.jpg
[2015-6-28. : 2:39 am]
Dem0n -- I choise Windows Game (4.0), and all I have is content resources
[2015-6-28. : 2:39 am]
Dem0n -- I do have XNA Game Studio there
[2015-6-28. : 2:38 am]
Roy -- I have it set up already in VS2013: http://i.snag.gy/Azzom.jpg
[2015-6-28. : 2:37 am]
Roy -- If you go through the steps, XNA Game Studio 4.0 should show up in your project templates when you create a new project in Visual Studio.
[2015-6-28. : 2:36 am]
Roy -- Follow the XNA installation instructions here: https://mxa.codeplex.com/releases
[2015-6-28. : 2:33 am]
Roy -- Man, I haven't used VS2010 in ages.
[2015-6-28. : 2:32 am]
Dem0n -- The tutorial is for 3.1; I don't know if it's incredibly different than 4.0
[2015-6-28. : 2:31 am]
Dem0n -- I'm using 2010
[2015-6-28. : 2:31 am]
Dem0n -- Oh I thought you said XNA
[2015-6-28. : 2:31 am]
Roy -- Visual Studio 4.0?
[2015-6-28. : 2:30 am]
Dem0n -- 4.0 lelel. I guess that could be a problem
[2015-6-28. : 2:29 am]
Roy -- First, what version of Visual Studio are you using?
[2015-6-28. : 2:28 am]
Dem0n -- XNA*
[2015-6-28. : 2:28 am]
Dem0n -- and I installed XN
[2015-6-28. : 2:28 am]
Dem0n -- they told me to open XNA game studio or whatever, but I don't even have that
[2015-6-28. : 2:28 am]
Roy -- Content should be in the solution explorer. If it isn't, you probably didn't select the correct template when you created your project.
[2015-6-28. : 2:25 am]
Roy -- Thanks for the link.
[2015-6-28. : 2:25 am]
Dem0n -- i might not have opened the right file type
[2015-6-28. : 2:25 am]
Dem0n -- the MS one
[2015-6-28. : 2:25 am]
Roy -- What tutorial are you following?
[2015-6-28. : 2:25 am]
Dem0n -- but there's no content tab ;(
[2015-6-28. : 2:24 am]
Roy -- The big window is the text editor: this is where you type code. The Solution Explorer on the right shows your project files. The bottom panel has your output and error windows. That's about all there is to it.
[2015-6-28. : 2:22 am]
Dem0n -- Roy explain VS to me :(
[2015-6-28. : 2:20 am]
Dem0n -- okay where is this content node
[2015-6-28. : 2:16 am]
Dem0n -- Is Content the same as Content References in VS :massimo:
[2015-6-28. : 2:16 am]
Moose -- Yea, you got it
[2015-6-28. : 2:15 am]
Roy -- Go get 'em, champ.
[2015-6-28. : 2:14 am]
Dem0n -- fuck i'm trying to do an XNA tutorial but my friend invited me to a game of LoL. I guess i gotta play that ;_;
[2015-6-28. : 2:14 am]
Roy -- I'm not using a library though, because it's just going to be a simple learning algorithm.
[2015-6-28. : 2:13 am]
Roy -- If a library exists for whatever language you're using, it would be equally as easy as a logic-oriented language to implement something.
[2015-6-28. : 2:13 am]
BloodyZombie117 -- I guess I already had ChaosLauncher, Well then.
[2015-6-28. : 2:12 am]
Dem0n -- Wouldn't AI be easier in a logic-oriented language? :massimo:
[2015-6-28. : 2:12 am]
Moose -- :roy:kt
[2015-6-28. : 2:12 am]
Roy -- I'm using C#, but it shouldn't matter what language you use. Algorithms are algorithms.
[2015-6-28. : 2:08 am]
Dem0n -- Roy
Roy shouted: Dem0n I'm making a learning AI for Tic-Tac-Toe right now. You could do that.
What language are you using?
[2015-6-28. : 2:08 am]
Moose -- https://xkcd.com/832/ xkcd has got you, bro
[2015-6-28. : 2:07 am]
Roy -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: guys, I need shit to program to put on my resume so I can have a chance at getting a job lul. what should I make (or attempt to make)?
I'm making a learning AI for Tic-Tac-Toe right now. You could do that.
[2015-6-28. : 2:05 am]
Moose -- Anything that has w-mode integrated into it
[2015-6-28. : 2:05 am]
Moose -- Or use ChaosLauncher. Or mcaLauncher.
