Ever since I've gotten Windows 10 (even the test builds), whenever there's an update, something breaks (keyboard, speakers, wifi, etc) until I update and restart. But for any other language you don't have to know how to represent a float in binary, so there's no need to bother. On the other hand if you do binary you got no choice to know these basics.
