File Description
This map is similar to temple siege, but better. The game's mostly in Korean, so in a non-Korean Windows OS all the titles & notices will be broken up & unreadable, but it's not too hard to figure out the game.

You start out by picking your hero. Hot key your hero as #1, then @ bottom right corner of map (or top right, I think), hotkey stargate as #2 for your main spells. Robotic facility is miscellaneous stuff.. Hotkey your upgrade building @ upper area of the map as #3. Hotkey your comsat station nearby your stargate as #4.

Heal @ academy. Kill for level up & $$$. Experience points are indicated by bar @ bottom & top areas of map. Mineral is for upgrades, but the total score, dubbed as "gold" is displayed at the leadership board at top left corner of your screen. With gold, you can "buy" items with your dark archon at middle left area of the map, whenever your hero goes to academy & heals.

Different combinations of spells bring different results... i.e. 2 scouts are different from 1 scout spell, and you can combine corsair (ultimate) with other spells as well.

Some help with gameplay:
The Stats System is on the upperright part of the map (SCVs)
-Upperright is Mana Upgrade
-Upperleft is Weapon Upgrade
-Bottomleft is Vitality (MaxHP + Armor) Upgrade

The Bottomleft Dark Archon is the shop, usable only in the pylon radius of the base.
SCAO - Skills
Shuttle - Potion
Reaver - Teleport Home
Observer - Radar? Don't know what it does :)
Shield Battery - Heal

Yes. Because completely random terrain that makes no sense whatsoever and is also assymetrical, the need to run home with a high templar to heal and a create unit kill unit preserve trigger based skill is so much superior. Apparently if you had played enough you would know that units actually take skill to use and don't just spam completely randomly. Hotkeys hinder gameplay for newbies because they are so retarded they barely deserve to play StarCraft. I mean, I can do it, and if I can, then so can anyone else. Of course, some of what you say is correct, as in if skills didn't kill in the split of a second (rigged Lena kerri), then it would be better. Yes. But it is still a better made map than Temple Siege.

So, I happenced upon Athlit today, and I have to say I am unimpressed.
Before I lay the blow-down, I'd like to draw the line first. I'm not blowing this down because I made TS, and TS rules over all. I just want to explain why I feel Temple Siege is more popular, and what is wrong with Athlit. (Obviously, TS has its flaws too. But its flaw does not deter it from its popularity).

Anywho. straight to the point. Athlit contains some of the LEAST interesting heroes in its Roster. There is no clear uniqueness between the heroes, and the spells are all so similar, that it is hard for anyone to tell them apart, making it hard to strategize/predict oncoming spells. Everything else is also very stock. Stock spawns, no new spawn units.. with stock spells (just spam a bunch of units, patrol, kill em quick. So it looks cool. Sure, it is aesthetically pleasing, but you have absolutely zero control of the units). Srsly, I hate Guardian firing spells. They are so fucking boring.
Another reason why Athlit isn't very good is because one must control a ton of crap, again too many to hotkey. One would like to hotkey the Hero, The Stargate (for spells), the robofac (for potions), the Scanner sweep (for vision which is REQUIRED for some defense.), the upgrade buildings, and the Dark Archon for shops....
In TS, there's technically 3 required hotkeys. The Hero, the Gateway (for spells), and the Upgrade building. That's it :\.
You can say I'm nitpicking, but it really does hinder the gameplay for newbies, as it is very difficult to shift through all these buildings/units.

What it boils down to is an AOS that has no charm, no soul. The only reason why we'd play it is to compete with someone else. Not to see what cool spells can happen, or what new strategy/teamwork that one can use. The spammable spells make teamwork negligible, and a hero can die in a matter of seconds by a swarm of spell units. Sure, you can heal with your potion, but then it gives the player who just used a final spell go WTF when you're still standing there with most of your HP still intact. Potions in SC (and items in general) just doesn't work!

There's no incentive to replay this map. The spells are cool but not as cool as WAF, and there's clearly few (if any) thought out effects for the spells.
Plus, the Terrain is SUPER stock. So boring. Nothing in the map draws you in and makes you replay it. The only ppl who'd replay it are ppl who know wtf Athlit means/have some connections to the heroes/koreans/super competitive. And srsly, no one on USwest or USeast is competitive enough to take a nosedive into an ocean of confusion to play this map... :\
