I saw a thread about this and realized it wouldn't be that difficult to make an MPQDraft plugin that makes it so you don't need to get out of a map to edit it. I made it and all was well, but SCMDraft doesn't like to share the
love files so I had to patch it.

So, how does this work? Like say if you changed a bunch of triggers in a map while you were playing it, would only the ones that would currently be activating (not ones based on elapsed time that had already happened) occur? Or does the scenario start over? I was the one who suggested this, so I think it's pretty exciting You have to restart the map for changes to take effect.

You can edit a map your playing in starcraft:Start playing map in Starcraft, Then Open it in the editor, Change some stuff, Save map, Then Reload the map, All it does is save you time of restarting SC for little tests,
Really doesn't save much time anyways. xD

True, Doesn't seem to save much time, but adds up when your fixing minor flaws/testing methods. This is what I've been looking for!

useful so you can test something, go to editor and tweek it, move on to test something else w/o exiting out each time. Nice

just click quit map and then press the windows key to get back to the destop

Why can't you just open it before you start editing the map, and fix it while you go, and then when you restart, just save?
None.
Because it is annoying. Often times I try to save and say "Oh yeah, the map is open." It's nice saving without having to close the map and restart it.

Wow, this is extremely useful.
I love it!

Meh, this would have been really cool to be able to edit the map while playing it. I'd almost buy another monitor to see both at once for that.
None.
That could only be possible if you actually edit SC's memory. Also, I just use a TV as a second monitor.

Why bother, I just press windows key and make my changes, save, then restart map again. Don't have to exit SC anyway!
Red classic.

I see this being used for large maps (or any big map for that matter) where your in the middle of playing it, see a bug or something you want to fix, change and save, then get back into the game and keep playing.
...Or you could just change everything you want, finish playing, get out, then save.

"out of a map"
you can edit your map ALWAYS, just can't save it while you playing it....
I think it'S kinda useless.... to leave a game don't need much time...
