Okay, So I'm having an issue when it comes to running this thing. I've just installed it and when I go to run it, I get an error message saying that Mscomctl.osx isn't correctly registered. I did some searching and found an old thread on a different forum with this problem. One guy posted up links for the microsoft VB runtimes and some other update, and I tried those. Still didn't fix the problem. The OP also didn't get it fixed either and the thread ended with no resolution. And since I didn't have an acount there and I have one here, I decided to post this after searching for any help here without finding it. Can someone help me? Please?

Get SCMDraft, Starforge can corrupt your maps. Not to mention it ALWAYS screws with isometric terrain.

The verbose trigger editor did mess up a map I tried to modify back then in SCMDraft, but it's great for debugging stuff. :P The only thing I totally miss in SCMDraft is the ability of CopyPastaing triggers so easily, and deleting WAVs from maps in SCMDraft kinda sucks.

Rarely do I ever need to close SCMDraft by normal means. I simply crash it.

no, it just randomly crashes for reasons unknown to me.

I've only had it crash on me a few times. For a while, when I tried to edit a location in SCMDraft, I had a small chance of a crash. I had had a virus at the time though, which is probably the reason.

I would at least try SCMDraft. If you don't like it or it crashes, you can always use a different editor.

SCMDraft sucks at opening maps. I can open maps in staredit that I can't open in SCMDraft.

Starforge crashes if you remove all triggers from a player's trigger list and you're standing on that player.

Like, you untick the last trigger, the only trigger for Player 8, and you're looking at Player 8's triggers. Then, you crash. Which sucks.

But, StarForge is the only map editor that can remove sounds well.

starforge is crap anyway... it jsut makes errors like unname locations and crash bugs on sc x-tra editor or scmdraft...

i prefer to use scmdraft because its the best tool and it has everything a mapmaker need to have ^^

belive me.... all locations are called ""
just 0 space
trigger look like this:
p1 bring at least 1 marin to ""
kill all marines at ""

total crap... and this "couldnt find data" was also a error i got... it fixed itself just in a few weeks.^^

1) i can currups a map with scmdraft easily with none of that "open as fast as you can crap"

2) this happened to me with P-color and i know what to do incase you have vista. all you need to do is obtain a copy of the missing or unregistered file and reply me when you have it and i'll guide you through the rest. remember to tell me if you have vista or not.
