Got any ideas for new roles for Mafia? Post 'em here.
Examples:
Ritualist - At any time during the day, the Ritualist may sacrifice himself to ask the God of the game (presumably Moose) to change any one thing during the game. For example, the Demigod can nullify all Mafia attacks on a single night, allow double lynching for the rest of the game, etc. It is up to the God of the game to deny/approve the ability, and the Ritualist is only sacrified if the ability is approved. It takes one day for the sacrifice to come into effect, and a clue is written about them for the night phase to give Mafia a chance to kill the ritualist before the wish occurs.
Wa
ld
o - Waldo has the ability to change any one person's color (but not role) every day. Also, if Waldo is killed, he is revealed as a Townsperson but can still use his powers. He is revealed as Waldo at the end of the game.
Moose - A Moose is much like a bodyguard, but acts as a duplicate Mayor (if one is elected). If the current Mayor is killed, one of the Moose are killed instead, and the Mayor survives. The Moose may choose to not use this power each night.
Cultist of the Dead Clam - A townie or mafia may elect (by PM) to join the Cult of the Dead Clam. At any time, any Cultist may call out "CLAM" and kill everyone in the cult, including him/herself. This can lead to Mafia bagging extra kills, or Townies reducing Mafia numbers much faster. There is always at least 5 Cultists in the start of the game. Stupid idea. Ignore it and move on.

None.
Mafia Don - Opposite of mayor, instead on the mafia side, hes got two body guards, but has the killing power of 3, also all players KNOW the don. However bodyguards have 1.5 as many clues against them.
Professional looking role description
Mafia Don - The mafia vote upon one of their own to become 'leader'. The don is then reviled to ALL players and may not become mayor (Election must be before mayor is decided). The don has a killing power of 3 and CANNOT be targeted by any lynching or special role unless the following condition is met, the don MUST be the last mafia alive.

One of my ideas is some kind of role that is connected to another role so the two roles are dependent on eachother. An example would be a lock and key type of role set where one person represents the lock and everyone knows who he is, but he can't be killed until the person with the key role has died.
And before the phantom game started I thought of a phantom type role where the phantom gets to choose who they are going to "haunt" or follow during that day/night and whatever happens to that person also happens to them so their own name can't be targeted and they can't die directly.
None.
Unstoppable Force - The Unstoppable Force can kill any target per night regardless of Doctor/Regenerator protection, and if done so successfully, no clues are written about the Unstoppable Force. If the Unstoppable Force hits a person protected by the Immovable Object, the Immovable Object and the Unstoppable Force are both killed.
Immovable Object - The Immovable Object can protect up to twice the number of Mafia alive in townspeople from death as though he were a Doctor, including himself. This protection does not have any effect on the Mafia, and if the Unstoppable Force kills a target with the Immovable Object's protection, both the Immovable Object and Unstoppable Force are killed.
None.
I think some of these roles have too much of a luck element involved. They should have abilities that require real strategic thinking.
None.
Just here for the activity... well not really
Stalker - Follows one person every night. He has 2 options:
1. Find out who he visited.
2. Find out who visted him.
The Stalker may use the second one on himself.

Why would anyone want to join?
Why would anyone want to join?
Good point.
Secret Service - The Secret Service are townspeople that act as personal hitmen for the Mayor. Each night, the Secret Service may kill one target as listed by the Mayor. The Secret Service are well trained, and their kills are processed before the Mafia's. The Secret Service may revolt, and kill the Mayor, but in doing so they become ordinary Townspeople.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
Corbo: Betrays his own mafia partner. If he succeeds, himself and his betrayed mafia partner dies and raises mafia killing power by three times. Also reveals 1 mafia member after 3 days until all mafia are revealed. (to keep the balance
)
fuck you all
Snitch -- After the second or third night, the "Snitch" is reported the name of one Mafia per day by the wonderful Moose-God or whichever god is in play. He can in turn speak the name of the mafia to the other members in the town or keep it secret and try to find a good clue on the Mafia member in order to get them killed. This role however has a twist. The Snitch is considered a Townsperson in the end, but during the game, he is considered a mafia; If the town kills the snitch, they won't know hes the snitch, and another Mafia could lie his or her way into the role and try to get the town to lynch innocents.
I'd also like to ask, that right after the current Mafia, or sometime during it, if anyone would be interested in a Speed Mafia game? Each day would only last like 15 minutes or so, and you wouldn't get mineral prizes unless there was an opening fee for joining.

Sounds like fun. Can I write the clues?
None.
Yeah, and I could be the Godling. We would just have to get enough people to want to play it though.
Oh yeah, and I'm not sure if anybody has seen it, but I can be very serious at times. I could do it.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
yay! I got a category just for me, I r so special!
DIE YOU GENERAL CATEGORY SUCKERS!
fuck you all
Whatsithuh - Chooses a player every day. If someone targets to kill Whatsithuh and the chosen player is a regular towny then the towny dies instead. If someone targets the chosen player to kill and he has a special role than Whatsithuh dies instead.
None.
Deerwhale - The winner of the previous Mafia can become this role. Each round, he can maim any one target regardless of protection, or maim two targets while keeping protections intact. Corbo, under any circumstances, may never be this role for balancing reasons.
None.
Chef - This role cannot be killed until his food is finished being cooked and is served to everyone.
Echo - This role wins if alive by day 2.
None.
Escape Artist -- A Mafia member, with the ability to escape from one lynching, and survive. However, his identity is revealed after he or she chooses to use the power. The power could be ignored to protect fellow mafia members if neccessary. However, the role becomes secretly interrupted if a Detective identifies the person.
Crime Scene Investigator -- This Townie is blessed with an extra more easier clue each day through PM after the mafia kills are proccessed. The problem though, is that the CSI townie has to be able to get the information to the right people if he or she wants their role to be successful. They also have to decipher the clue, which could prove difficult for the lesser minded.

What the fuck!? My shit is under Silly Roles? Someone is about to get punched in the butthole!
Trickster - This role has the power to redirect mafia's hit or boondock's hit to someone else. If they redirect it to a townie, they end up dying too. If they hit a mafia or boondock saint, the mafia or boondock dies and Trickster is revealed.
