Ah. It really seemed like you didn't realize and were trying to humor me.

Personally I'm independent but I favor the democratic party much more this year, particularly because they are going to get the troops out of Iraq.

Obama seems to be like a peacock. Seems really good on the outside but really is a scavanger. He only says these things to please the people and plus he has all these black people supporting him. There is also a large portion of young voters who just decided to vote this year because of Obama. He's not going to be a great president.

Even if you're right, the simple truth is that McCain'd be worse. He'd start a war to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, push for sanctions on Russia (which would, either succeed and weaken both Russia and the EU or fail miserably (likely) and make the US more of a laughingstock), ignore the economy, and go around wagging is POW card at everyone he meets. Nothing he's done so far makes me think he'd be any good. Especially with all his redneck-attracting DAT BE SUM GOOD ASS WHUPPIN' foreign policy rhetoric, and his choice of Vice President purely for the election. Palin isn't the most qualified, most efficient choice and McCain knows it. He chose her just for the women votes. Same as Obama being black.

More like because we can actually vote.

She's hot, and McCain knows it.

I didn't create this topic to discuss politics like so many of you are.

That's nice, but you started this topic accusing all of us of being homosexual, so... yeah. Too late now. Anyway, it's close to your topic.

He didn't say you guys were all homosexuals. You're blowing it way out of proportion however absurd it may be.

lolwut? :bleh:

The first 5 red states are also swing states that are likely to all/mostly swap toward Obama this election; it appears there is a correlation between average voter intelligence and party identification/ideology.

Obama has maintained his position on the issue, and the majority of foreign counties (including Iraq its self), the majority of the American public, and even the White House is caving in to Obama's position; he has had the correct and logical judgement since before the start.

.. What more is there to discuss on why people were democratic? Up to post 42, it was relatively on-topic. It's still close-to-topic.

All of your assertions are unsupported and can be applied to anyone.

Most of the things you said are reasons why Obama would be a great president anyway.

I'd say those are GOOD things.

Once you take a history or american government class, you'll learn that young people and minorities tend to be more liberal or democratic and that white upper class and people favoring big business tend to be more conservative or republican.

And also, the media has always tended to favor the left. Anywhere you look on the internet, you can find liberal sites or groups bashing the right/conservatives, you can even look up images which can easily convey the message without words. The only exception to this is Fox news, and it came to my realization that they tend to do what they do (like being biased, assholes, aggressive, derogative) intentionally, as like a rebellion against what the media tends to generally be.

Some states, like Texas, tend to have lower IQ scores primarily due to the existence of certain groups of people like rednecks. But what's more is that a lot of our schools favor affirmative action and this thing called the Top 10% rule. This may sound good at first, but you have to realize that this could actually be quite detrimental especially if this applies to some of the shittiest schools around. Like my college, the University of Texas, is the best pulic college (Rice is private and small) in Texas. When my parents first attended it back in the 1980's it was like a top 10 or 20 school in the nation. Now it's like barely top 40 or 50. And this has to do with the fact that our legislature would take a minority like a black or hispanic from a crappier school rather than an asian or even a white person from a better school. Alot of areas in texas are superb and very intellectual, many of which are top 50 in the nation including my school. But the problem is that due to the existence of the not so well areas, it tends to bring the mean IQ/intelligence down. Statistics don't really mean much if you aren't given the median or the standard deviation because like I said, you could have really dumb regions in your state which bring the average score down or you could have some fucked up legislature which favors the less educated.

I have a friend who goes to Pratt institute in New York and he says he absolutely hates it there. Why? Because he's made a lot of friends with people there but as soon as he tells people he's from Texas, they instantly start looking down on him and stereotyping him as a person who comes from the land of rednecks. But that's besides the point.

Well, texas california and florida are like the 3 fastest growing states out there. Soon enough we'll have all the power while the north will lose them all. In texas it costs like $500 dollars to live in a pretty good apartment while anywhere else it'll be like 3 or 4 times the cost. But that's ok guys, because remember my arms are always wide open for you guys, yes even chumps like you devilesk and echo ;)

Does he pronounce Texas as a three syllable word, or turn simple one syllable words into five syllable words?

I'd never move to Texas. Texas can go off and be it's own country for all I care. I'm sure it wants to be one anyway. Dumb Texans.

EcHo... Lol, just lol.

Everyone else:
While I agree it's hilarious, and probably a sign of something, remember that 90-110 IQ is average, not retarded / hyperintelligent.

Then again, poor != stupid and IQ != intelligence neccaserily. And I know I spelled that wrong.
