I use a PC, and I'm happy with it.
I do not need to take it places, but when I do need to transfer/ take files with me, I just use a USB Flash Drive.
Besides, if I had a laptop, I would not have all the cool extensions that I have.
Like my: Wacom, multiple speakers, bass speaker, printer, secondary drives, ect.

Desktops. For everything else, there's a USB Stick.
None.
Personally, I have 2 laptops (eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee + broken thinkpad) and a two year old desktop, which should be able to run crysis.
I gave away my old thinkpad to my sister in law, my dad has four desktops (1 in SD, 1 in NC, an old 400 MHz lunix box, and a 800 MHz Duron with 98 on it), two laptops (one is an old '98, the other is a tablet), and my mom has my sister in law's old desktop.
Between my brother, his wife, myself, and parents, my family has 5 laptops and 9 desktops. I think we still have an old Apple II in the attic, and an old server tower which has a turbo button on it. I think the turbo button increased the processor speed from 75 MHz to 133 MHz or something.

With what kind of performance? Everyone knows that Crysis isn't really a game, it's just benchmarking.

PC because people come to me with their laptops
However, I'm considering getting a fairly cheap laptop soon, and I certainly will when I begin on university.

It's not that I've tried, but two years ago, the processor/mobo/cpu cost $600. I'm sure I could get it playable on low details, no AA/AF, since the x1950 pro is one hell of a card. I meet the min specs, but fail the recommended "640 MB" vRAM. I only have 256 (which is a serious handicap in these). Eventually, I'll get a new cpu/gfx, but probably not until I graduate next winter, or if I get really bored this summer, and have a disposable income.
