[GTA classic] is RPG style action game based on GTA and GTA2 with little big from latest RockStar masterpieces. This is not a copy of any GTA so you won't find terrain similar to game terrain. The action takes place in famous Liberty City. Full 3d building city gives [GTA classic] the so needed GTA like feeling. Also 23 16-bit sounds from GTA2 gives that feeling

Zaibatsu - corporative gang with high standards. They better stay in Z village than wonder around town without reason. Zaibatsu can provide you better protection from cops as they are always in Z village.

Russian mob - In other words russian mafia. They work less organized than Zaibatsu, but still as one big family. They lead Liberty City dockside called Little Rio, but they also like to go on riots all across the town. If you are enemy of Russian mob then you can run across them almost anywhere .

-Little Rio
Little Rio is the coast side of Liberty city. You can find it left off freedom river. Little Rio is lead by Russian mob gang, also the main LCPD is located there. It is pretty quiet and nice place till you are not wanted and russians like you. But if you are enemy of russians then you better stay away from Little Rio

-Zaibatsu village
Zaibatsu village is where Zaibatsu gang live. It is separated from the city. You can use it to hide from cops when they are on your tail. Not much to do there, just get your missions there or kill some Zaibatsu to gain Russian mob respect.

-Liberty city market
You can spend you money at the market. You can buy guns or heal with money. Or you can upgrade your skills with lifes/skills. Exchange money to lifes/skills at the market.

I've played it some time ago. Unfortunately my lust for blood got me killed in the early stages of the game. Crushing civilans with your car was the most fun part.

I wish the cops would come with more force sooner. Its like they dont care until 20 or more people are killed.

Then again, I was on the southside next to the docks.

Theres something extremely weird with this map. Nobody can join my game when I host it. I had a friend try multiple times, even in a simple two-letter name/pass game name. Any other map I can host just fine, without rejoining b.net or anything. I host spaceship combat, astrogears, civilization...

Anyone else got this problem with this map?

The map is quite big but it shouldn't cause the problem. Try hosting it public, just to test. The map works for me though. If you find the problem please post.

DEAD was my old name long time ago when I made this map.

Yea, the map has some character in the title or something that doesn't let you to join the game, you can still play alone though. When it was released it worked but then SC was patched and now it doesn't .The thing is I don't have the map anymore, the only version I got is this and the legendary OSMAP screws it when I unprotect it. I remember that I asked LW to add some kind of custom protection to it as the regular ones screwed the map. It's just to big with too much of different stuff inside. I don't know is LW still around somewhere but I'll try to contact him and fix the problem. Thanks for notifying me of the problem.

My upload speed is 20 kbps, so... no just use the first version of OSMAP -- it was the first release that I used.

I used the one program that allows you to change the title of the map and remove the pesky characters so I could play mulitplayer. I forget what it was called, however.

I really like this map because it employs the same sandbox, do what you will style of the actual GTA games. It was fun getting really high wanted levels and then hiding out in the zaibatsu hideout and just let them do all of the work. When most of the gangsters died out, however, I perished in agony. When I did the mission where you have to steal the LCPD Tank, I had literally 2 HP left when returning to the Zaibatsu hideout. I think something it was missing was gang members patrolling the streets in cars, and they come out when an enemy is near, but the AI would be pretty hard to program for a whole 256x256 city.

A nice little Rpg game that has free time to mess around with. The game is really a great map and all.

So I don't know if you remember, but over 2 years ago I was here with you at the old SEN and we were both competing to make GTA maps. Mine was GTA: San Andreas.
Well I'm here wondering if you (or anyone from the old days) still have that map, so that I can download it again. Since I lost all of my maps and such after leaving Starcraft.
Yeah it's summer.. i'm bored
