I want to contribute a map to the DLDB, and it says i need a picture. How do i get a pic of my map???
None.
Use SCMDraft 2, and a image program that can resize/convert to JPG or PNG.
In SCMDraft 2, open a map, under file, click save image.
Open that image in the program of your choice.
Resize it, 768x768 is usually good.
Convert to JPG or PNG.
Enjoy!
I reccomend Paint.NET (google it.) for resizing/converting.
Or you can go where you want your screenshot inside the editor, hit thr PrtScrn on your keyboard, paste into paint, or some image editor, cut out what you don't want, then save that. You can use SCM Draft to place units and sprites to make it look more like an in-game screenshot, like I did with Movie Contest and Robo Battles in my sig.

Hmm, you can upload it without any picture, but it'll sure look better if you add one.
?????
You can upload a map without a screenshot, but you can't put it in the map showcase forum with any.
You can also use the Print Screen button in-game and the image should be automatically put in your Starcraft Folder.

Yeah, but then it'll be in an odd format (PCX), you can open it with IrfanView though.

True, but its probably still a good thing to know. You can just convert these files as well.

PCX is not so odd, its just old and not very wide spread.... But uses a simple RLE compression, so it works quite well (since its very similar to the compression that SC GRP files use).
