Responsible for my own happiness? I can't even be responsible for my own breakfast

Well, this shouldn't really come as a surprise for anyone. I've already voiced my intention to retire many times. Oh boy, how do you start one of these? I've never been good at this kind of thing...

I joined SEN what seems like a very long time ago. During the time that I've been a member, I was fortunate enough to meet a lot of very cool people - most of whom have left already, a few who remain here today. I won't list them all here, most of them haven't been seen in a while, and those who remain should know who they are.

When I first joined, we didn't even have a modding section here at SEN. It was against the rules. :P Since then, SEN's grown into a potent modding community. Sure, it's not what it was at its peak, but then again, the modding community as a whole is nowhere near what it used to be. I'm proud of whatever part I had in creating SEN's modding community, and I hope the modders that remain will carry on that tradition. You've got tools today that were only dreamt of in the days after Camelot Systems' fall. Go out and make something incredible.

Along the way, something changed. This isn't the same community that I joined. I don't know what to tell you, maybe I miss the specific people, maybe I miss the spirit and energy that SEN used to have, but in any event, I don't feel a desire to be a part of the community any more.

So this is goodbye, SEN. I'd like to specifically thank DoA, ShadowFlare and BroodKiller for all they've done for the community, the modders I've worked with on group projects (Ermac, Polaris, Phobos) and Mike for being an awesome guy and for getting me hooked on Outpost 2 again :P. I'd also like to give my best regards to all those awesome [MM]ers with whom I've shared many a Mod Night, as well as all those who I've chatted with the past couple of years.

I'll be sticking around for the next day or so, and then... well... maybe you'll bump into me on the internet some time. Especially if you need Adamant Bagons or Bold Wish-passing Eevees. ;)

All the best, SEN,
- Matt (Voyager7456)

all i am is a contrary canary
but i'm crazy for you
i watched you cradling a tissue box
sneezing and sniffling, you were still a fox

Yes, that is true. However, I have also noticed you have too. It is not very fun to joke around with you and stuff anymore. And then you seem to have distanced yourself from everyone here quite a while back. :C
