Time To Die

The primary aim of SICKEL Addon is to be the add-on to Starcraft that Blizzard would have done after Brood War (if they had done one). Hence to this end only new units and structures will be added to complement existing units. Some of the base units may be redefined to solve balance and usage issues.

SICKEL Addon is not setting out to be a total conversion like Warcraft3 TC, or any of the Star Trek, or Star Wars TCs .... its aim is to be an add-on to Starcraft Brood War.

After the project dieing off in early 2001 the modding community was left shattered and without direction. Mods continued to be produced. But all lacked true greatness. Now is time for the revival.

NOTE: UNTIL THE DOWNLOAD DATABASE IS UP THERE WILL BE NO DOWNLOAD LINK!

Pizuscag along with some members of the Spanish starcraft community have started to revive sickel. Using a scavenged PAT and CWAD we plan to remake this mod with all the most recent modding tools.

Due to the fcat that there are differnces between modding tools, file types, starcraft versions, etc. We are currently only in the ALPHA stages.

Yea i remember Sickel. It was the best mod or addon or w/e ive ever played. It added a whole new way of playing starcraft and im glad to see it being revived. When Sickel disappeared of the face of the universe i feared the worse, but it looked like its coming along well :D. I look forward to when all the bugs are fixed and it works with the current patches lol. Until then i shall wait and watch the progress of this amazing mod.

P.S. Mabye give a sorta finished version here when youve got a race done so that people can try it out? i REALLY just want to try the mod again XD and it might draw others if they find it appealing... just a thought

I like some of the graphics. They seem to fit the race at the same time they are different. Some other just seem misplaced.

Sickel was a pretty decent conversion. I have a version I converted to 1.14, but there were some annoying bugs. I don't know if those same bugs are present in the 1.07 version or if it was the result of imperfect conversion.

sickel is a great mod... best played in multiplayer still maybe the next version will feature new units...

Right now im aiming for version 0.1 Sickel revival, it will have as close functionality to the old 3.0 preview as posible. After that i will start working out bugs and MAYBE i repeat MAYBE i will be able to add new units. But even right now this mod is taking a new life. With all the optional EXE edits available in firegraft game play has been taken to a whole new level.

Lose the huge ego buddy. Mods by Lord Agamemnon and Voyager and BSTRhino and many others are full of greatness, and not to be discouraging, but seem higher quality than what is presented here so far.

That aside, it looks like it's going to be an interesting add-on. Plenty of new units, so I'm satisfied. Usually I don't like add-ons, but this has enough changes to fulfill me. Usually when people make new units they don't seem to fit in graphic wise, but on a few of these you've seen to nail it down right. Good job.

Don't get me wrong, Sickel is a decent conversion... I just don't think it's quite as good as pizuscag described.

If anyone wants to try my old 1.14 conversion of it, I've attached it. I see a lot of things that could easily be fixed, but I didn't have the patience. :P

Renaming units is not considered total conversion. This seems like a Heavy Conversion so far, I see nothing changing gameplay.

Anyone have the 3.0 preview? It seems all of the original sickel links died...I can convert .pat to 1.15 in FireGraft. I cannot, however, convert FG1.14 to FG1.15 T_T.

I am making my own expansion to broodwar as well. Starcraft: A New Age. BETA v1 is released. Not so pro as sickel though.
