For new games I usually just search around for the cheapest price, usually at somewhere like futureshop, and when I buy used, I get them from ebgames. Where are your favorite stores to get games (are the prices competitive, are they a chain, do they have a good inventory/reliabilty, etc)?
There are a lot of sweet games out now, but a bunch of stores are really trying to rip you off. eb was selling Halo 3 used for 65 bucks. Holy shit.
also list some games that are either out or upcoming that look sweet.
I'm wanting to get
Bioshock
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Soul Calibur 4
Resident Evil 5
Splinter Cell Conviction
GTA IV
and a bunch of other games, mostly for 360.
Not really advertising, but if you don't want to help me out don't look below.

I recently found a site online for trading used games, the cool things is that you start off with 1 free trade and 100 "points" to buy stuff with. I just tried it out from some guy's referral link and I was surprised it actually worked: in 2 days I got a free copy of From Russia With Love without having to even use a credit card.
The site is Goozex (
http://www.goozex.com ).
If you would like to help me out, my referral link is here:
http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/join.asp?idr=587643263946 but I know advertising isn't allowed so I won't plead with you to try it, just letting you know it actually works and has a great selection for very cheap (or free).

Depends on the games... 90% of the time I like to have the box with the disks to install, but it depends. I get some off of Steam and if not that then I simply go to GameStop to buy them. I have other ways that I might get some games but I can't discuss that on these forums...

I usually buy my games at Gamezone, or Spaceworld if I got a gift card there. Gamezone is usually cheaper, at least when it comes to older games, than Spaceworld, so it's an obvious choice + they got better service.
I always go to best buy just for the fact I know where their games are, and it's easy to find, I find places like EB Games are useful when all else fails, but their PC section (atleast at this particular store) are really unorganized, and finding a PC game is a bizniznitch, i dont have other consoles

Game stores usually try to rip you off, especially if you're selling something. I tend to use regular stores, such as Target.
eBay is always a great place to look. Nice list, some of those games are fucking amazing.

I've only bought one game at full price which was GTA IV from GameStop.
All the games you see on my Xbox 360 hard drive I've burrowed from friends...
I'm a very cheap b*st*rd...

I usually go to Bookman's for used games. If I want a new one, I just go to GameStop.
Usually from an electronics store like Best Buy, in my case. Most of the games I've been playing recently, however, aren't licensed in the U.S., so I can't buy them. This leads me to download them with only slight worries about whether it's legal...

I can do it in Canada all I want; I love this:
Around the same time that the CRIA successfully took Demonoid offline, the RCMP made clear that Demonoid’s users don’t have to worry about getting caught, at least not in Canada. Demonoid came back online in April 2008.
According to the RCMP it is impossible to track down everyone who downloads music or movies off the Internet. The police simply do not have the time nor the resources to go after filesharers.
“Piracy for personal use is no longer targeted,” Noël St-Hilaire, head of copyright theft investigations of the RCMP, said in an interview with Le Devoir. “It is too easy to copy these days and we do not know how to stop it,” he added.
St-Hilaire explained that they would rather focus on crimes that actually hurt consumers such as copyright violations related to medicine and electrical appliances.

I usually download everything from
DC++. I only pay for games that can hold my attention long enough to be worth buying, like games on steam.

Game Crazy. The people working there tend to enjoy talking to their customers.
I think the point of this thread is which sites and which stores...
