The BBC is biased - just not as obviously as most media corporations. In the UK they are in a lot of trouble at the moment for leaning too far to the left.
At least the BBC tries (tried) to be unbaised by presenting both sides of the arguement. It is, after all, hard to be unbaised when it is a human being writting out the news. For all its worth, it is the least baised news media. Unlike FOX, or the Colbert Report
.

President Bush:
You know what I hate ? when people said Bush is a bad person for not responding that quick at 911.
1.) We got fire station's for a reason.
2.) We got other stuff for a reason.
wtf Bush gonna do, go there and tell everyone what to do when they are already doing it? can someone please explain that to me.
and btw if you said he's holding the book upside down your wrong someone edited that.
He can allocate resources such as military combat units and other forms of support that are under his direct command. But I disagree with these "people" you speak of. He responded quickly enough. It was the confusion that got us. He was aware at 10 in the morning, I was just watching 9/11 Conspiracies on the History Channel. This is what bush has done: He has divided the people of this country, taken a shit in Iraq at the expense of Afghanistan, and taken a chainsaw to the bill of rights.
This country has always been divided. Its called political parties. We are rectifying the problem of a manifest terrorism in both Afghanistan and Iraq. What you call failure, I believe is a stage for progress. Taken a chainsaw to the Bill of Rights? Just what the hell are you talking about? How the hell do you think he got elected to his second term? It sure as hell wasn't by convincing the moderates, it was pandering to his base of fundamentalist neo-con Christians.
Oh now you're just rambling on.The one thing you need to impeach a president is the cooperation of the media.
How do you mean?I've been reading this long, nice, yet stupid, yet intellegent, arguement for about an hour; and, I must say, this is the worst/best arguement I've ever read. People are agreeing with each other without saying anything else. Everytime someone rebuttles someone, they ask for "proof". Then, there's the incoherrent spam.
So, has Bush been a good or bad President? I could not say for sure. Why? Becuase his term has come at a horrible time; a time of terrorism, and incoherency.
Should we have invaded Iraq? Maybe its the brainwashing, or the 1984-esque world some of you would love, but I think it was the best thing to do. If a country can produce WMDs, then we should keep an eye on them; just as we should currently do with North Korea.
"So are you pro Bush, or against him?"
Does it really matter?
"Yes."
Then I would say I support him.
I don't really see what you're saying above but I'll ignore it for now.
I agree we should keep an eye on them. That's the job of the Central Intelligence Agency. However we cannot allow countries such as Iran to develope nuclear weapons, missile system or not. That is the problem, at the time we invaded Iraq, the UN was allowed to have weapon inspectors there, and there was no evidence of WMD, or support of al-quaida. North Korea had a confirmed nuclear program, but no oil. I wonder if the reason we went to iraq was the oil, or just because it was already decided to start a war, and Iraq was chosen because it was an easy sell to the media.
You seem to like talking about the media a lot but you don't elaborate. We did not go to Iraq for oil. Thats bullshit. I keep hearing teenagers from the U.K., Europe, wherever online, Xbox Live, forums, and battle.net talking about how the U.S. is secretly stealing oil. Let me tell you how ridiculous those statements are. We have oil here and we can buy enough oil to support ourselves, we don't need to invade countries for it. The problem is that gas prices are high due to an inefficient number of refineries working. The problem is that I do not think the administration is THAT incompetent(They do put on a good show, Katrina for instance), it is possible this is all a ruse to divert attention from something else. I wonder what the significance of karl rove leaving the administration is.
Divert attention from what? A conspiracy? Like the 9/11 Conspiricies which I coincidentally am watching. I don't think so. Again, a ridiculous question based on radical Americans unwilling to accept that the World is making progress, even if people have to die for it.The one thing you need to impeach a president is the cooperation of the media.
Liberal democrats control most of the media, what do you think they are trying to do?You are kidding, right? Or do you actually believe fox news is fair and balanced?
I thought FOX news was a conservative network? I don't believe any news network is fair and balanced, they're just focusing on the bad parts in Iraq and making more of a deal of it than it really is.They thing I hate about bush, is that he's letting illegal's into this country.
now illegal's are a whollllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee different issue.
and also if you seen bush before he was president he spoke right, and knew what he was talking about, maybe all this power got to his head?
but yha he did kill Saddam, he was a evil Leader. and I respect that from Bush! but i still do not like illegals.
Oh God haha! Pleassse don't bring Illegals into this issue we're having enough trouble agreeing on the war issue! Lol. But I agree I think illegals should be deported.I love how my points go unanswered, after I spent all that time providing links to my sources.
I think I disagreed with you but as I said before my post was lost and I was prettttty pissed. If you really want I'll post it again. The problem is that I do not think the administration is THAT incompetent(They do put on a good show, Katrina for instance), it is possible this is all a ruse to divert attention from something else. I wonder what the significance of karl rove leaving the administration is.
Karl Rove left as part of a quickening stream of officials jumping ship to avoid the sinking Bush administration. As Iraq continues to worsen and Bush turns to the things the Democrats have been suggesting for years on end (such as a 'soft' partition of Iraq and an end to the 'surge'), a lot of the professional politicians around him are trying to run before being Republican becomes taboo.
No, the Bush administration is not incompetent, and in some ways that is what scares me. Bush did indeed truly believe that Saddam was evil and needed to be hunted down (Saddam did go after his father, after all). But now that it is clear that invading Iraq was the wrong choice (most people agree about this - even a majority of Republican candidates, but not whether we should withdraw now is not agreed upon), Bush cannot bring himself to admit that he was wrong.
The one thing you need to impeach a president is the cooperation of the media.
Liberal democrats control most of the media, what do you think they are trying to do?
Honestly, no. If you think that liberals have complete control of the media, look at the often-used Fox News. Look at Robert Murdoch. It's a bit of a stretch to call him a liberal Democrat.
They thing I hate about bush, is that he's letting illegal's into this country.
now illegal's are a whollllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee different issue.

That's got to be the first time I've seen someone bash Bush for not being Republican enough.
Well Mr. Battlekruser I am impressed with your input. I don't think being Republican will become taboo ever though or I'm leaving this country forever. I don't think the war was a mistake. 3,500 casualties out of 175,000 is not really above calculated. I think we should continue our efforts. Bush made no mistake.

Yes, use the multi-quote. Thanks.

Responsible for my own happiness? I can't even be responsible for my own breakfast
I'd love to make a post, only I'm not sure I can prevent the white-hot seething mass of my anger from erupting into flames and resulting in my ban from SEN, so I think I'll just let CaptainWill take this one.
I do not understand the goals of the people that like bush, It seems there are only 3 groups of people that have benefited from his tenure in the white house: Defense Contractors, Big oil, and religious fundamentalists(I am talking about both Iraq and the US).
None.
Gun_Solar, please, please, fix your post BBCode. Please. It's agony to read.

You know I think Bush doesn't know what war is really like. I mean his father was a Pres so he never went to war, and he's forcing it upon everyone else. He doesn't really comprehend how horrible it is and the pains of battle.
None.
I am pretty sure he wouldn't care, even if he knew.
None.
Muslims call it a jihad - Mr. Bush calls it a crusade. What do you think happens when you elect someone who "listens to god" to the office of presidency? I'm sure many people are bitter over their shortsightedness in electing him.
None.
Yet American military leaders do, because this country has turned into a Christian nation, which is the exact opposite of what the founders wanted.
None.
I am pretty sure he wouldn't care, even if he knew.
That's just personal opinion, for all you know he could be devastated.

Many presidents haven't been to war.

Umm where did my last post go...Doodan probably deleted it. It wasn't that bad its not like I was making fun of his avatar or anything I just made a comment that it was funny. And how do religious fundamentalists help more than Bush.Religious fundamentalists have benefited from Bush's presidency in numerous ways, the first one that comes to mind was him vetoing a bill allowing stem cell research from destroyed embryos.
The President does not know what war is like? We must kill him now. Seriously, you really do not need to be a war veteran to be president; if that's who you would vote for, go head, but I'd rather have someone that understands politics better then military tactics.
Only "Big oil" has benifited? I didn't even know oil companies could benifit more from a war then the rest of us. Maybe you are getting confused that higher prices do not always mean higher profits.
"Yet American military leaders do, because this country has turned into a Christian nation, which is the exact opposite of what the founders wanted."
How is this a "Christian nation"? There is freedom of religion, right? Or did that get destroyed with the Patriot Act?
"I am pretty sure he wouldn't care, even if he knew."
I wouldn't either.
"I'm sure many people are bitter over their shortsightedness in electing him."
I'm pretty sure we would have a debt wether or not Bush was president. Any military exercise has debts that need to be paid, and I'm sure any president wouldn't have stood around with his dick in his hands as Iraq is able to produce WMDs.
How is this a "Christian nation"? There is freedom of religion, right? Or did that get destroyed with the Patriot Act?
Politicians, the president included, are basing their views and morals with their religion and their imaginary friend, god. The currency says "Under God", which is an insult to any non monotheistic person. In the pledge, children are forced to say "Under God", which wasn't the case 50 years ago. I can go on, this nation is obviously a christian nation. If not Christian, monotheistic.
None.
