Well, I played Pirate Dyne, and it was AWSOME! I like the whole idea of working as a team to defeat an evil entity. This holds true in Pirate Dyne. I loved the custom terrain and how it was nice and random. It wouldn't just be the same thing over and over along the whold side of a clift or the "boardwalk" ground. Some Ideas for what ever you make: Allow the user to enter vehicles. Air/Ground -The enemy should be Zerg, hense mythical. -Im not sure how much terraining you plan on doing, and 64x64 worked well in PD so I would stick to that. -I also like the way that you spawned enemys from the carriers, as if they were making their way to the beach from their large ship, little by little, and then they would go to the shore, explode, and BAM! enemy units. -It was also cool how you made them stay untill they had enough units, then they atacked. Something with a space defenders type idea. Space Dyne* ; Invader Dyne* * NOTE: Space Dyne and Invader Dyne are both copyrighted map names.
-I'm trying to make him have controllable dwarf cannons, he hasn't really gotten back to me on that.
-They are Zerg, most of the units are chosen.
-He's going bigger, but it's a lot better. It's all done as well.
-No news on this, but the rowbats were epic!
-No doubt this will happen again.
Sadly, I think he has failed us a wee bit on the layout so far, it's not as interesting as pirate dyne, which had a very unique layout, especially when it came to choke points etc. It was a very hard to defend map, as we learnt when trying to beat it the other day.
That's 80% speculation, all he's shown me is his terrain, which is looking good, but I doubt it will have the same feel as pirate dyne. Tme will tell.
I hope I've given some insight without blatantly spewing out exactly whats gunna happen.
This is just what I've seen and he's told me. Not much more than you guys know.
Can't wait to see what he uses as a kraken!
None.
