You arrived just this morning at the airbnb you rented in your hometown for Thanksgiving. It is already the big day and you are getting cleaned up to go eat dinner at your aunt's house. You have been tasked with bringing a PIE.

You arrive at your aunt's house almost on time, which is good because you have to circle the block a couple of times to find a spot big enough for your truck. Finally, a family in a minivan takes a hint and pulls out of their spot against the curb, leaving just barely enough room for you to park your big dick truck. Pie in hand, you approach the front door and knock awkwardly, waiting in the balmy 20F weather for your aunt or another family member to open the door.

You are surrounded by SUBURBAN HOUSES and RELATIVES' CARS. The street is otherwise QUIET.

Your text also roused your Uncle Jimmy from the sports game on tv, and he opens the door for you! He welcomes you inside. Yours AUNTS, COUSINS, and BABY NEPHEW are inside doing various Thanksgiving related activities. Your PARENTS have not arrived yet.

Your family turns to face you at your outburst, and then everyone chuckles. It has been a weird past few years hasn't it? You're lucky to be able to gather this year. Your aunt realizes you are still holding a pie and takes it from you. She places it on the BACK COUNTER in the KITCHEN.

You are currently standing in the LIVING ROOM. Your cousin Bill, who you don't like too much, is approaching with a DRINK.

You snatch Bill's drink from his hands and chug it. It appears to be non alcoholic eggnog with a ...powdery...texture. You swallow it, maintaining eye contact with your cousin to maintain dominance. Bill's shock is over ruled as he starts clapping loudly "Let's goooo! I didn't realize you took the same preworkout I did. Want to hit the gym? We got enough time for an arms sesh before the turkey comes out. Might even fit in some cardio."

He starts bouncing on his feet. Your tummy is a little gurgly.

Bill drives you both in his 1992 Toyota Camry, because even though it resembles a boat thanks to the XLE trim, it sure as hell will be easier to park when you two return. You drive to the gym in silence, high fiving every now and then to keep up the hype (real bros don't small talk). Bill looks like he's having a great time.

The gym is empty except for the FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE and 2 GYM BROS grunting in the free weight area. The associate gives you a once over, unsure if she should say anything about your inappropriate for the gym attire. Bill swipes his membership card confidently and you follow his lead to a nearby vending machine. He hands you a Muscle Milk and you crush it.

your TUMMY ACHE has been upgraded to INTESTINAL DISCOMFORT. But it doesn't matter, you're just happy to be spending time being around family. +1 BLESSED.

Bill asks if you want to start with the Stairmaster or the weights.

When you return to the floor you see Bill racking a barbell. It looks like there's at least 100 lbs in plates already on it. He lays down on the bench and says "Hey bro, spot me bro?"

... and trip while leaning into the high five, getting your neck stuck under the barbell

Bill starts his sets and he's already straining under the weight of the bar. You're surprised, given how much of a gym bro he is, that he can't rep on 130 lbs. You suddenly realize you also cannot handle 130 lbs. Oh god, why did you say you could spot him?

Bill's grip starts to falter but it looks like he might be able to get the bar back on the rack on his own. Do you help him?

Try to help him but probably just get in the way because we're so fat and unathletic.

He hears you wheeze in consternation and barely racks the bar with very little help from you. You are red in the face, hating yourself for being so weak. He stands up, breathing heavy, and claps you on the back. he gives you a pitying smile.

Now you remember why you hate cousin Bill.
