This is mildly good news as it means blizzard can finally escape Activision's death grip.
This does however mean that overwatch 2 might become Xbox exclusive.

I imagine it will affect the other games a decent amount. I am curious though if Microsoft will even bother trying to convert Starcraft Remastered to their Cloud Gaming Plan. It would be funny to see Starcraft Remastered on mobile. And I wonder how modding in that case would work. Then we would have PC,N64, and Mobile versions. (double Xbox would be a thing though for it. I hope Overwatch 2 isn't Xbox exclusive).
Also I don't know how their terms of service work with modding and what not but I assume it shouldn't change (especially for older games like Starcraft 1) I'm pretty happy optimistic about this considering how crappy Activision is (every Blizzard game has been dying and most games have these insane microtransactions. I'm looking forward to new possible content for various games that isn't just skins costing $50)

All I'll say is that I doubt Microsoft could do any worse to the IP's than what's already been done. Who knows maybe even HotS will get support again.

They paid 70 billion. You can bet that they won't let the IPs rot. Also MS hasn't been the worst publisher in the past regarding supporting their games.

One thing that should be good is China should no longer have any significant influence on Blizzard. It should be back in American hands fully.
Remember the Hearthstone Hong Kong tournament controversy and subtle patches censoring certain elements of the game to be more palatable to China? Should be in the past now.
Microsoft is one of the only remaining multinational countries with services operating in China so no, you won't see any change in this regard.
