Apparently in an effort to improve pathfinding of everyone's number one stucking units, I accidantelly broke their balance, as was pointed out by Connor. Thankfully, that's not the only thing pathfinding relies on.
- Global - Reverted Dragoons, Goliaths and their Elite counterparts size changes (pathfinding changes are still in place).
- Global - Replaced unit voicelines for Cyphia, Gatherous, Sikari and Leader.
- xZerg 2 - Full voiceacting added, player's Force name altered.
- xZerg 3 - Full voiceacting added.
Truly a monumental effort. I'm impressed by the sheer size of this project. I usually prefer campaigns set in the canonical universe of SC, but the idea of a parallel SC universe is really intriguing, reminds me of the Mirror Universe in Star Trek. Some missions were too hard for me, but I'll try again. My favorite mission is probably The Sky Falls, the Spore Cannon was a nifty concept. Keep up the good work!
~~~ Si vis pacem, para bellum ~~~
This was a really interesting concept. At first I found the role switch between the 3 races to be hilarious but as time went on the novelty wore out and the constant grammar mistakes made it impossible to take the story seriously anymore and I had to stop and move on to the next custom campaign on my todo list. Still, well done, despite its shortcomings this is currently the best SCR mod available.
None.
You should try out Episodes 2, 5 and 6, they're the most fleshed out ones in terms of language. Fixes for the rest are pending.
I only started cheering about new update finally bringing something useful, and then instantly got destroyed by completely uncalled and unnecessary change to unit & upgrade name files.
This might take a while.
Let me get this straight: has the stat_txt.xml been superseded by a .json file, too? That's a bit unfortunate. Why don't they ever stop doing all that random stuff to the game and instead implement some good new features for a change.
Trial and error... mostly error.
Right'o. Well... Notepad be my guide when I get back to editing stuff a bit (got a feeling that it'd only be on the New Year or slightly after - maybe they'll drop some other kind of "update" on us by then LOL).
Trial and error... mostly error.
It's not random, XML is cancer and its good to move away from it towards JSON.
None.
In the meantime the game has 24 chromium processes for UI rendering.
So how does this influence the performance and system load? Did it get noticeably worse?
That story you can learn by opening official bnet forum and checking out any lag issue threads created since the UI update.
I see. Not pretty.
I'll re-review the campaign once you have de-stratostygoed the remaining three episodes then
None.
Glad to see this is still being worked on. I've removed your entry in my campaign review QA spreadsheet because I felt my earlier review on your campaign was very unjust, especially since this campaign wasn't even finished at the time (pronogo's archive implied it was finished and at the time I wasn't aware of how disastrously inaccurate and inconsistent the information on that archive actually is). I've put your campaign near the end of my spreadsheet meaning you should have several months to finish this campaign before I plan to review it again. by the way, if you need help with voice acting I would be more than happy to help even though the quality isn't likely to be very good since I only have a standard built in laptop microphone.
None.
Yet again Blizzard interrupts my update plans at the worst possible time. With an update that took about four days to hunt down all issues. Thanks.
On a bright side, since I felt sorry about terrible state of Episode 1, you're all getting a way better version now.
