What does the update do? Address current patch compatibility?

You probably need a copy of Starcraft 1.16.1 and point it to the mpqs there.
Howdy,
Long time Scmdraft mapmaker here - just starting euds now. Few questions:
1st (already addressed sorta) When TF will we be able to extend units!!??
Second, I cant seem to figure out how to remove unit firing sounds. Like with marines, I changed to burst lasers, but it still has the gauss rifle sound, as well as the laser sound - I want only laser.
Third, Is there any way to add multiple graphic effects for a units weapon shot? Like with tanks I want the Yamato gun shot, as well as the original siege splash animation. I can only seem to do one or the other...
Thanks - I make RISK maps mostly and I thought I'd finally try out the EUDs!
None.
and thx nude raider - yes you need to install with the old SC files associated
None.

What exactly do you mean by be able to extend units? Making new units from scratch isn't really an option, but you can change unused units or buildings into other units through extensive dat and firegraft changes. I made the zerg lair into a functioning marine once to see if it was possible.
I haven't been able to figure out how to remove unit firing sounds either. I assume it's not possible, but someone else may know better than me.
Similarly for the last question, I believe you indeed have to choose one or the other. From my recollection. it's also not possible to use miscellaneous explosions in place of weapon graphics, unfortunately.
Hey thanks for answering.
I just meant extend the unit limit. You have the option when you host a game to set unit limit to "original" or extended, and when you host a map with EUDs you can't choose extended.
Ya sucks about the unit sounds eh, seems it's built into the "shoot" animation.
Not sure why we couldn't do the multi animations tho...
Cheers

I've been playing around with this tool to modify unit abilities and I'm stuck trying to replicate the lurker spines line splash damage.
I can make lockdown become the subterranean spines by simply copying the object, however if I change the graphics at all it no longer works as line splash, instead it will only deal damage at target when fired from max distance.
Is the lurker spines line splash damage hard coded to the graphic?
None.

I'm looking at some of my maps that were made using EUD Editor 2 and I'm noticing in all of them all the strings for pretty much everything aside from custom unit names are completely messed up. I'm guessing this has to do with the recent changes to the strings section. Is there anything that can be done about this?
The MSQC plugin in EUD Editor 2 will center a location on a player's mouse location automatically without desyncing in multiplayer. In the editor (at least the current verison I have) you cannot edit the location chosen for anyone but Player 1, however it still works for the other players. The editor will automatically set the locations sequentially following the one you select for player 1's mouse to follow the cursor's of players 2-8. E.g: you set player 1 to Location 1 in the plugin, then location 2 will automatically be set to follow player 2's cursor, location 3 for player 3's, and so on.

Link seems to be broken for the EUD Editor 2 right now... help?

Sorry for my noobness, does this mean an older version of Starcraft, or is it just a non remastered starcraft? I do have the Non remastered as well as remastered, but I'm trying to work with EUD's on the new remastered since they put them back in and even have them in SCMD2 now...
I know I'm super noob at EUD's and I may be sounding really dumb, but I could use some help getting started with the basics and getting the essential programs besides SCMD2.
I'm working on downloading them now, I just got DatEdit. Now I need EUD Draft, the EUD editors, and such I'm pretty sure? I really don't want to start off with anything too complex I really know what kinds of uses I want to apply these for.
Here is a current link for Eud Editor 21.16.1 is the original version of Starcraft prior to the remastered. Files from this version are required in order to use the program. You can find a download for it from Iccup.

For anyone who was experiencing this bug, it appears Blizzard has made some patches to address the issue. EUD string changes are working again!
