So I learned today that UNIx/UNIS will not update any unit settings unless the flag for saying the unit settings aren't default is set.

Curious that the flag can be set to 1 but you can still store in the CHK the modified values and SC will happily ignore them.

That is good design - that way if you disable custom settings, and later re-enable them, you didn't lose what you had configured.

hmm I guess I am thinking from writing UNIx programmatically.
I wouldn't add custom settings if I didn't intend to use them.
I guess from using the GUI it makes more sense to do it this way.
