So we all know when SC:R was release to public, but did you know Blizzard Entertainment, was hiding lots of info from us? Yes they were, I found this very interesting.

Today I found out a old topic about SC:R, only Koreans could of gotten but not us. (USA)

If you go to https://starcraft.com/en-us/ You will see in the view tap there is only 27 things to see/read. (USA)

But if you go to https://starcraft.com/ko-kr/ there is 31 taps to read, Inside the one of them In there you could of gotten SC:R Box. Remember in the day when you get SC:BW Box. Same thing just Remaster with few extra items.

It's not right what they did on day SCBW:R release date.

At that time anyone could gotten a chance to buy SC:R box, even tho it was only for the Koreans, But still would've gotten them from Blizzard site or that one Korean site.

To me as a fan to see this breaks my heart and trust from Blizzard Entertainment.

And who knows what else they are hiding in there other websites. Overwatch, WarCraft(S) SC2, etc.

Please keep digging deep, they might be holding lots more info from us!

I struggle to care that Blizzard released a boxed copy for only Koreans.

StarCraft just isn't as popular in the west and it wouldn't make sense from a business perspective to have retail/boxed copies here. I don't see the big deal.

You guys didn't know about the box? It wasn't a secret - it was mentioned many times that korea would get a boxed collectors edition, and there were threads on other sites organizing international shipping weeks in advance of the release.

Yess I hear it during SC:R live, butt!! They said YOU CAN ONLY GET IT IN SOUTH Korea...Which was false info.
Cuz the site in the links to a korean site, you could of gotten SC:R Box. OR Buying it from Blizzard site in that link getting SC:R = Box.
It's just sad and not right for them to do something then finding out year and so later...That ANYONE could of gotten it....

Dude there was like nothing special in that box. The skins were already included if you pre-ordered the game. What else is there, like some small booklet? Who cares?

Supporting blizzard financially won't bring better products or more features to sc:r, so even from a fan's perspective I don't understand what you're getting at CK.

huh? Of course do buyer's decisions influence how Blizzard will distribute their resources. You can bet that if they smell money to be gained they will make an effort to improve their products.

Products are good if they make money, not if they deliver satisfying experiences. Marketing allows companies like blizzard to completely remove the development phase of a product and still make money on their logo alone.

I actually just had to throw away a few boxes/CD Install disks from SC2. I felt really bad about it. But they take up space in the closet that's already overstuffed.

I really like moving to a completely digital library. My one concern is that the libraries like Steam and Blizzard can one day in the long future go defunct and I'll lose them, but otherwise, I own everything on one cloud distribution-based software or another.

That doesn't address his answer. He's talking about a proxy group buy, which is incredibly common in lots of hobbies. It wouldn't generally matter where you live. You could have jumped on it same as anyone else. "True fans" got their box because they didn't care for any restrictions Blizz put out.
